On a whim I threw out my bed and started sleeping on the mattress a year back: used to always feel some back related pain no matter what else I did (lift, not lift, physical labor, sitting too much, etc) but after that I have zero issues, feel better than ever. Might not work for everyone but try it out for a few weeks.
