What is probably the best way to gauge or check your grip strength? I like training grip as a hobby and for fun. On a Dynameter, my grip reads as being about 150 pounds. However, I can close the number 2 captains of crush hand gripper consistently and I can close the 2.5 hand gripper inconsistently. I am just trying to get a gauge on my overall grip strength but I have no idea how to really track it or monitor it. What are your thoughts? Also, bit of a side question but has far as general fitness, how important is grip strength? I live frequently but I have never really felt my grip be a failure point on any lifts. However some of my friends who lift also mention their grip failing them all the time.

>>74763568I'm not that great at the iron mind grippers, but I've hit 161 pounds on a dynamometer.
>>74763568Based on one of pic related, my grip is at least 80kg, and I've felt the bar slipping on deadlifts around 180kg before I switched to hook grip. Hook grip makes it feel so easy that I've stopped caring about my grip strength.
