I'm sort of interest in diving. Should i hop in a open water class or buy snorkels and go diving in lakes? I know how to swim well but have no experience with diving with any equipment. Also does it affect recovery? I'm doing bjj 4 times and lifting twice a week for reference

Get certified. Itll take like 1-2 weeks and give you all the training you need to go on open water dives either accompanied or not. If you're a richfag and it turns out you like it, buy your own gear and keep going.
>how does it affect recovery
The same as any hour long, moderate, solid state cardio does (not at all)

Buy a cheap IP-5 rebreather and see if you set on fire like the other anon did.
