tl;dr: Im 29 yo man, and Im super fit; do track and field, calisthenics, free weights lifting. My parents or almost elderly (63 and 71 ), and I have uncles\aunts whom are also getting on a bit. They're all weak- very weak in strength and cardio- even if clinically "healthy"
How do I start slow, and we progress so in a 2,3 years they're strong and fit? Im not going to boss them around or force them, but at least my parents and one aunt agreed to let me do some basic coaching and do exercises if they can get light dumbells, rope etc
Are there any books, doctor's guide, manuals for training old folk? I want to stress I mean REAL training (not tai-chi, or light jogging with tae-bo or whatever) you may think it's brutal to want this, but real training will let them live as functional humans into their 90s, hopefully, and that's worth gold and diamonds.
