Yes. It's like having a deadlift suit and bench shirt on when you're really fat. Really fat dudes dread putting on their socks and shoes because they have to basically force themselves down towards the ground to touch their feet at all if they can. All your lifts get the benefit of you having fat around your joints too so they're both more protected and you can lessen the range of motion a bit
