I ask because 4 months ago i had good vitamin D levels from supplementing and stopped the supps+did not get any sunlight - was wondering if that is enough to make deficient nowi know natural sunlight is best, i worked long office hours and was difficult to get sun

4 months is long enough to get low
You don't really need much sun. 20 minutes in the solar noon will give you 20-30k iu of d3. Sunbathing for 20min 2l2 days a week is more than enough. If you haven't done that, yes, it will be low. Unless your hands and face was exposed to the sunlight for at least 5 min per day (when uvb is high)
