Check weight every two weeks and if it's not down drop calories by 400 each time, you would be light by now with a little planning.

Slow cuts are garbage. They only really work for people on peds. Your metabolism will flex up or down 10%, then you get exercise and your non-exercise activity falls off. So on the whole you're just eliminating your deficit quietly. You cut hard with enough protein you can even cheat and keep losing weight if you can keep your lifts up your won't lose much muscle which involves prioritizing intensity over volume.

I'm fit enough to run a bit. Not that far though, but it's something. I'll run two or three laps around my garden just to warm up and then i'll do some pressups, sit ups and idk, maybe another lap or some other cardio. I'll do this most nights and see how I get on. Eventually i'll start running up the road like I used to. I wouldn't do something i'm not fit for

That's the plan for tonight. Just take it easy at first. I think making a start and making it routine is the most important thing. So I won't be quitting. I can't quit, I have to do this
