I just pirated it, there are few books that I've seen that are worth actual money (maybe Overcoming Gravity for density of information). For the cost $0 Convict Conditioning is worth the download. You get some useful form pictures.

So despite any determination on your part you probably mentally gave up before your muscles were to give up.
If your life depended on it you would have got some more reps but most people dont have the capacity to force themselves into that state of mind for true failure.

I've modified my routine so I do two sets of reps at a minimum amount and then on the third set go for failure so that way I at least got lifting in before my brain betrays me.

I've done a lot of hard shit in my life and experienced plenty of discomfort, and it's not an issue to go to actual failure 15 sets in a row. Most of the people at the gym aren't breathing hard and making faces.

When it gets over about 20 reps and it feels like the muscle is about to cramp, I stop before failure, not because it hurts but because I don't want to cause injury. I don't even call that failure. Again, suck my dick.
