>wake up after 2 - 3 hours of sleeping
>cannot fall back asleep
>go through my day exhausted and feeling like a zombie
How the fuck do I stop this bros?
>>

Go to bed earlier, or wake up later, or do both
>>
>>75438576

>>

Reduce your anxiety

This keeps happening to me recently. I used to have no problem sleeping at all. I think someone is poisoning me.
>>
>>75438576
Just stretch out your body while lying in bed and turn around

sleeping on my stomach (without a pillow) helps me fall asleep pretty fast as well
>>
>>75438666
>>75438576
are you training very intensely ?

>How the fuck do I stop this bros?
If you lie down completely utterly flaccid it's pretty close to sleep. Sometimes you fall asleep too.
>>
no caffeine after 5
ashwaganda
explore whether u have sleep apnea
no screens in bed
white noise

those work for me normally
>>
>>75438576
>wake up withdrawaling from kratom in the middle of the night, restless limbs

I may have made a tremendous mistake
>>
>>75438576
I have the same issue. I found doing nofap makes me less tired from it, and ear plugs help too. I've tried about two dozen supplements, drugs etc and nothing worked. Quitting caffeine for months, all that sleep hygiene shit, no screens etc CBTi, sleep restriction, nothing worked, not a thing because I can fall asleep no problem. I'd say try to go to bed at the same time every night and get up the same time anyway.

I have this problem with leg day
>>
>>75438576
Quit coffee. I couldn't sleep then I quit coffee and I can sleep now. Also get some sun and lift weights everyday.
>>
>>75438576
Try biphasic sleep. At like 8pm go to sleep until 11pm. Then go back to sleep at 5am and wake up at 8am.
>>
This bas been happening a lot to me as well. I tend to not drink caffeine after 12. It does mostly happen happen during weekends where I intend to sleep more. It just mostly feels like I have to force my body to sleep. I do have an insane amount of pent up frustration though, since I've been rejected by my fiance for the entire year so far.

you sound stressed bro

Work cardio into your routine. If you're already doing cardio, do more of it.
>>
>>75440132
What's the best way to lower cortisol?
>>
>>75440168
ease off the insane leg sessions, lol

I took that shit for a while and quit because I kept waking up in the middle of the night like some kind of trip zombie in a spinning rainbow room.
>>
>>75438576
I'll never understand this. I can sleep anytime and everywhere. When I go to bed and close my eyes it's like I stepped into a time-machine.
>>
>>75440185
appreciate that
many people have sleep issues. its such a blessing to be able to sleep soundly
>>
>>75438576
Same except I am never tired. Cut out caffeine and I fall asleep easier but still only 2-3 hours. I consider 4 hours to be a great nights sleep.

Anon, I am here to help.

First address causes of waking. For example:
>Too hot? Find a way to cool it down
>Too noisy? Find a way to reduce the noise (ex. run a fan or white noise machine)
>Too bright? Find a way to make it less bright (eye mask, cardboard boxes in the window sill)
>Waking up hypoglycemic? Find a way to make it through the night (ex. eat later)
>Drinking caffeine a lot? Stop it.

Humans respond best to complete darkness, cool (not cold), and quiet (or at least stable).

After than, you can improve further using science.
1. Get out into the sun in the AM. It causes a burst of cortisol which is a molecule that promotes wakefulness.

2. Exercise at the optimal time. Exercise helps overall, but some people respond better to morning, midday, or night exercise. Experiment and decide what works best for you.

3. Weighted blankets help. You can throw a few plates on the bed if you want but it's a bit unstable in my experience.

4. Cut out screens in the evening. Read a book, clean your place up, write something, play an instrument, whatever. Just no screens.

5. Don't get anxious over waking. You need to address any negative thoughts that cause you to spiral when you can't sleep. If you get frustrated with waking up, then get calm.

6. Some studies suggest that CBD gummies may help, especially if you have anxiety. The evidence is a bit mixed though since some people respond worse and also some cannabis products are adulterated or mislabeled.

7. After doing all that, do a sleep apnea study. You don't have to be fat to have it.

CLINICAL QUESTION
Is trazodone effective and safe for insomnia?

BOTTOM LINE
Besides a “small” effect on short-term sleep quality and perhaps 0.3 less awakenings per night, trazodone does not have consistent benefits on sleep over placebo. There is no evidence that trazodone results in fewer falls than other sedative-hypnotics.

If you are very tense in bed and can't sleep, try out this method

>lie in bed or any comfortable flat surface
>put your soles together while in the lotus position
>raise your knees
>your body automatically begins to shake
>do this for as long as you like

here's a video for demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6q6t3I_UfxU

Shaking is the natural way to release stress from the nervous system. My grandma's dog does this as well whenever there's a bunch of fireworks being lit nearby.

Try it out yourself. Whenever I am tossing and turning under my sheets I just do this and I always fall asleep afterwards.
>>
>>75438576
Smoke some weed before bed
>>
I'm also getting this. Last night I woke up at 2:30 for five minutes then at 5:30 again for five minutes.

Don't know what's causing this, I haven't slept straight for a couple days.
>>
>>75439049
Did this minutes later and instantly fell asleep.
>>

>You can throw a few plates on the bed if you want but it's a bit unstable in my experience.
Anon... Are you sleeping with weight plates on top of you?
>>
>>75438576
I have this, the "scientific" name is sleep maintenance insomnia. I kept waking up after 5h no matter what. No difficulty falling asleep.
It's an anxiety issue and not a single brotip will help. You need to fix whatever it is that makes you unsettled (maybe it's your whole life)
>>
Knock yourself out with kratom
>>
>>75441749
that shit's closer to a stimmy than a downer

>>75441633
It's hell anon. Pure hell.

Magnesium/melatonin before bed, sleep in a completely dark room alone with a white noise machine

Is my leg day that insane?
>Back Squat 4 x 8-10
>Romanian Deadlift 3 x 8-10
>Front Squat 3 x 8-10
>Good Morning 3 x 10-12
>Bulgarian Split Squat 3 x 10-12
>Lying Leg Curl 3 x 10-12
>>
>>75443429
how close to failure do you go on each set
>>
>>75443448
I don't really, not like upper body anyway, I just try to hit the reps and do linear progression
>>
>>75443454
it is quite a lot of volume desu. 7 squat sets too
>>
>>75438576
Eat more and eat earlier in the day
So like eat all your calories before 6 hours before bed time
No caffeine
Make sure you're getting enough carbs and fats cuz I know the turbo autists that post here think they can subsist on protein powder alone

Meaty pizza is unironically better for you than supp slop
>>
>>75439829
I wish I had a 9-5 to try this out
