For my fellow tradiewagies, how do you balance gym and job? Also, do you do anything for recovery each day? Currently I have a back decompression block that I lie down on every day, and I massage my legs and feet with a heated massage gun. Thinking of buying some compression boots so I can sprint and hit legs during the week without feeling like shit the next day.

I kinda like going outside, also I have the potential to make high 5 figure and low six figures within the next 5 years. My job isn't that labor intensive, but I do a ton of walking and bending.

bluecollar here
the job has done a decent amount of getting me in shape
I continue to lift because I enjoy it and have specific goals
not hard to lift energy wise it's more of an issue of I don't want to be sore during the work week incase I have an intense physical task to do.
I need to put more effort into recovery work so I don't end up with manual labor back
working with your hands is the only way to live. Unless you are making over a million dollars a year I would drop whatever desk job you have and pick up a trade.
