How can one bulk without getting fat?
>>75472633The only way is to do it slowly. You will gain fat, you just have to accept that.If you eat at maintenance sure you'll gain muscle and strength, up to a certain point, once you're at that intermediate stage you're basically be in a never ending plateau, that's why so many people train for 5-6+ years and are still intermediates with decent physiques but nothing great, they're too afraid to bulk. You don't have to go bear mode and gain 30lbs in 6 months, just aim for at least 2lbs a month.
>>75472633In the first year or two you should.Second or third year on its like only a 250 kcal surplus. So if you cut low enough you got 280 days to gain 20 lbs then you cut again. If you're a normal sized male and cut to 10% you should have abs for most of that time assuming you work them.

>>75472701yeah, what’s the issue?
The only way is to do the lightest bulk possible. This is different from person to person but your gains crawl to a stop as you figure it out. Some days you'll plateau, and theoretically as long as you're getting better over time you can get away with it.Idk how it works because most days i wasn't even eating at a surplus, let alone close to my maintenance. but I got in protein and good recovery, with some baking soda or caffeine days here and there when i knew i needed the boost
>>75472633By not eating too much. If you’re gaining more than 1/2 a pound per week you are over eating.
>>75472633you can't, but the goal is to go as slow as possible on the fat gain while maximizing the muscle gains
>>75472686FPBPbulk or stay forever small
>>75472686I don't agree you HAVE to put on fat. Obviously if you're skinny you shouldnt care about a little bit of fat , at the same time, fk that if you have a decent base of muscles. Just lift , eat healthy and do cardio and you will gain probably
>>75473580Upon some further thinking, I was probably just making beginners gains. dont follow this advice. just get a good scale and track foods that are easy to track. ie chicken vs random restaurant food. log in cronometer n find out your tdee
