Genuinely, how bad is smoking cigarettes? I smoke like one or two a week, how bad is it for you, really? Does it kill gains/make you weaker?

I don't trust "the science" because the same retards who say smoking is "LITERALLY THE WORST" also think basedbean oil is better for you than butter and that red meat is less nutritious than peanut butter.

couple a week or day, most likely does fuckall and is no worse than breathing in city air all day. 40-80 camel unfiltered per day is where you start to get the full downsides of smoking.

Thats what I figure there's just such a massive stigma around it now, especially these days. I'm just deeply depressed and miserable now and have been for a while, and sometimes I'd rather smoke a dart than a J.

They did a bunch of studies on this. Around four a day is when your markers start going to shit in short order.

Yea I don't like how cigs taste so I don't think I'm at risk for that. I have twice a week at the most.

Inhaling smoke is fine, the more the healthier.
>>
>>75611000

I started smoking to curb cravings and appetite suppression. I lost 100+ pounds but now I’m addicted. it wouldn’t be so bad, but they keep me up at night and I only get 6 hours of sleep usually. I also waste $100 on cartons of cigs every 2 weeks or so

Lung effects aside the circulatory hit you take from chronic nicotine exposure probably isn't worth it. There are better things to do for yourself anon. Please take care of yourself.

>have twice a week at the most.
Yeah that's not going to last, specially when you start combining them with drinking.

I can't have one within like 3 days of one another, the taste is gross and I don't like how I feel afterwards, but there's something psycologically satisfying about the process of smoking. Also I never want one when I'm drunk, and I don't drink often or particularly heavily. Maybe once a week I'll go to my buddy's place and we'll shoot the shit and have a cocktail or two.

>>75611553
Yea my circulatory system isn't the best anyhow. Its hard to control my impulses with drugs rn though. Being deeply unhappy with every aspect of your life every waking moment of the day makes long term sobriety hard to bear.

>>75611551
I do not understand how people can smoke a pack a day. Any past 1 and I'm feeling sick. Even when I first started smoking weed I could kill a bowl on my own and be completely fucked and still be entirely comfortable. Cigs are just unpleasant past the halfway mark on a single dart.

>I also waste $100 on cartons of cigs every 2 weeks or so

I couldn't afford to be addicted to anything, unless I grew or made my own drugs.
>>
>>75611000
I want to crave smoking again but when I smell cigarette smell I gag I don’t get it
>>
>>75611000
In moderation, it's not worst than anything else.
Literally zero evidence it causes any more damage than smoking marijuana or drinking.
Problem is nicotine receptors grow exponentially, incredibly unlikely you'll ever use nicotine in moderation.

So outside of moderation, it's very bad.
>>
>"nooo don't start smoking you'll get addicted!"

>i drink alcohol but never became an alcoholic
>i've eaten junk food but never became obese

why would nicotine be any different?
>>
>>75613311
It's harder to quit or not consume very regularly because it doesn't hinder you attending to other responsibilities, you get a slight performance boost if anything. How addictive it is is still overstated, however.
>>
>>75611107
>I have twice a week at the most.
i used to be like that two years ago, now its two or three packs a week
>>
>smokes weed and cigs
>is this bad for me?

at least your not vaping everyday ig
>>
>>75613311
I drink alcohol but never became an alcoholic, I drink like once per month tops.

I eat junk and candys like once a week and never became obese or diabetic.

I started smoking 10 years ago when I was 18, now im addicted and smoke a pack a day. Nicotine hits different, it’s trully a chemical addiction thing. It’s messes with your brain in a unique way. It’s not the same .The act of stopping whatever you doing to have a smoke itself, it becomes a kind of ritualistic thing. I still practice cardio at a decent level tho (but I definetly can feel how it affects me).
>>
>>75611000
>I smoke like one or two a week
Up to 3 per day is still considered a non smoker statistically. You won't have any effect from 1 or 2 per week, positive or negative.

I don't need any long term effect. The apatite killing is a boost though

>>75612850
I don't understand why Nicotine is so demonized if its really no worse than anything else.

>>75613374
Sorry to hear that anon. I hope you can quit someday.
>>
>>75611000
one or two a weem is one or two an hour in the future
>>
>>75611026
>40-80

Who is this retard
Even one cig will affect performance

Yeah go ahead smoke and then go play basketball or any cardio related exercise and see how out of breath you are
>>
What can be said about the medicinal benefits of smoking? I've heard tell of an increase in testosterone, lower apatite as previously mentioned, and supposedly mental improvement as well.
