I accidentally teeped a manlet in the face and split his lip. I was aiming for his solar plexus but he ducked to close distance as I threw the teep. I apologised and asked if he was good and gave him a free shot but he was still mad.

What more could i have done?

Tell him to block better next time.

So I'm not in the wrong? I feel bad.

Is he just being a bitch? I mean I've got dropped before because I was lazy with my rear hand and when the dude apologised I told him it was cool, my fault for being lazy defensively.
>>
No he’s being a pussy and a bitch because you did the right etiquette when sparring because you hit people in the solar plexus to simulate hitting them in the face. Keep up the good work and good etiquette. Dudes a bitch

Muay Thai usually teaches bad defense, you embrace the impact by guarding and checking rather than learning the art of defense. I'm not mocking Muay Thai. I spent 7 years doing Muay Thai before learning boxing for 5 years so far. Take a step back and realize that most Muay Thai guys have bad defense compared to professional boxers for a reason. And you shouldn't feel bad, you're two grown adults who agreed to step in combat sports where injuries can happen. This is fighting not hugging.

You could've KO'd him if you had the power

Probably, but how would that benefit anyone in sparring?

There a dude with whom I did MT at my old gym who does boxing at my current gym. He occasionally comes to our sparring for shits and giggles. It's pretty fun y when he levels changes and tries to close distance like in boxing so I just clinch him and start throwing knees.

Don't get me wrong, he'd push my shit in if it were boxing, he's had a few amateur fights to good success but some boxing stuff doesn't carry over well.

>he was still mad.
don't worry, manlets are always mad 24/7 365.
t. manlet

I'd do better in boxing but I'm not about to cuck myself with rules and make it unnatural, you don't have to learn how to box vs someone trying to tackle you boxing. I wouldn't be working on hard ass oneshots if fighting wasn't about grappling when 2 idiots are going at it this retard is gonna try to grapple me without even using his hands.
>>
>>75612609
>I'm so good at boxing
It's not good enough to mitigate having to learn other martial arts because you know what they're gonna do and prefer hands offensively.
>>
>>75612609
I forget I'm not talking to people who can just use their hands naturally and throw like a fuckin skipping front side/front kick easily when you see the distance and their dumb ass feet standing there like stonewall jackson you can just send someone and end a fight in one kick fyi to anyone who thinks they've sparred someone even decent at kb.
>>
I'm too autistic for sparring.
>>
>>75612614
>gay speedboi thinks he's passing my defenses
I bench 245 like that dude at the boxing gym benches 135 in like 1yr if someone with a 400lb bench and 10+ yrs of legit kickboxing/karate walked into the ufc he'd destroy everyone like nothing.
>>
>>75612619
You gotta be 2x as sick with the defense as anything they can throw, they're getting fuckin angry and trying to hit you for real.
>>
>>75612619
Let off at the last second to practice like a real fight and your 50% should still be enough if you have to hit them harder so you don't get hit with a head punch then sure go ahead and hard spar like that I'm not.
>>
>>75612326
Sparring isn't fighting, injuries aren't taken for granted unless agreed upon
>>
>>75611486
par for the course in sparring. accidents happen. don't be too hard on yourself. you apologised and asked if he was okay, this is good etiquette as a reasonable and decent training partner.

this will make him weary in ducking, hopefully he learns to read you better next time you spar. he is just being a bitch and sore loser if he remains mad at you.
>>
>>75611760
It was an accident and you did the right thing by apologizing in good faith. I’m not sure why he thought ducking his head to close distance would help. Hopefully he learned a lesson. He is probably upset that his lip is split and might need stitches. Next time you see him just apologize again and check up on him. At least it wasn’t a teep to the nuts.

Or just quote kung-pow. “Foot to face style how you like it?”
