My back size and my performance on the lifts that allegedly develop it have always correlated directly with my deadlift. Which just goes up if you do it and you eat. Pullups just seem like a waste of time to me and nobody bragging about them is ever big.

I never said you shouldn't count your reps, just that it shouldn't be your goal. If your goal is just to hit a certain number, the best way to do that is by doing crossfit "pullups". And comparing yourself to others should be something you do to learn new techniques and training methods, not to be able to say you lift more than them or to cope about how they only lift more than you because of x or y

I gained 15kg over the past 1-2 years and increased my weighted chin-ups. It's +50kg at 92kg body weight now.

For now it's humiliating lol but fuck it, lat pulldown strength does not equate to pullups strength and I am weak AF in both pullups and dips, but I bench 225 for 4 max and weigh 200, still can't do more than a few bodyweight both ways lol
