>chose a muscle you want to grow
>find out the max. stretch position for the specific muscle
>take a weight that you could hold in that position for 45-60 sec.
>execute
>You're done with this set. Rest for approx. 30 - 90 sec and repeat 4 more time.

Ditch X reps x Y sets for 1 rep - max. stretch workout, /fit/. Full ROM is the .wav of strength training. 1 rep max stretch (1RMS) is the new .mp3 of fitness. All the data prove that the eccentric phase grows the muscle, so why would you want to waste your time for all the noise that does nothing for you and perform full ROM or even lengthen partials?

Embrace the new deity and bow to 1RMS. Tear your muscles for the fitness gods. You will grow like a beast and will never feel fatigued again.

Works for calves in studies.

If it works for one muscle, then it works for ALL muscles.

Check out this study: Role of muscle fiber hypertrophy and hyperplasia in intermittently stretched avian muscle, by J. Antonio et al. J. Appl. Physiol. (1985). 1993 Apr.

Here's a brief summary:

Study examined the effects of intermittent stretch on avian anterior latissimus dorsi (ALD) muscle. Seven adult quails had weights (10% of body mass) attached to their right wing for 24h periods, followed by 48-72h rest intervals, over 15 days (total 5 days of actual stretch).

Results:
- 53.1% increase in muscle mass
- 26.1% increase in muscle length
- 27.8% increase in fiber cross-sectional area
- No change in fiber number

Key finding: Unlike chronic stretch (which causes hyperplasia before hypertrophy), intermittent stretch produced significant muscle hypertrophy without hyperplasia. The rest intervals may have allowed for recovery and prevented the muscle damage typically seen in chronic stretch protocols.

Sure thing. Now shut your filthy mouth and go waste your life doing full ROM. Don't you ever speak to me again.

So if I get right, then with bench press:
>pick up barbell
>raise it up
>keep it up for a minute
>go down
>rest
>repeat
Correct?

You are very wrong, muscle needs to be fatigued to grow and only a tiny proportion of it will actually get fatigued after only firing once. Muscle fibers don't fire harder lifting more, it's an all or nothing situation for each individual fiber.

You will get good neural and technique gains though, so of you were a lightweight powerlifter who wanted to stay small and get stronger on paper it's good. But hardly anyone wants that not even powerlifters

So you equate a weight being attached to their wing for 24 hours as 1 rep training?

Obviously not to lockout

There is a training method from 20+ years ago that did this. Static hold training. They would exercise as infrequently as once every 3 months and still get gains

no. you get the biggest stretch in the bottom part of the rep. also I wouldn't do it with barbell but with dbs.
>>
>>75614625
no. metabolic stress is not an essential component of hypertrophy.
