How much do you pay for your gym membership? Is it worth paying more to go to a fancier gym?
>>
I know just where I'd put my nose. One sharp inhale and I'd transform like a werewolf.
>>
>>75713377
$40 per month, and no.
>>
$40 a month. It used to keep the trash out, but it doesn't. Hopefully when crunch opens nearby, it'll take the trash with it.
>>
>>75713377
60 dollars a month . polite bitch fuck a china dick . im thinking of moving to another gym.
>>
>>75713377

$40/month. It gives me access to all the gyms around the city and gives me a few guest passes. It also prices out the urban scum that don't deserve nice things, so a double win
>>
>>75713377
$0/month because I paid all the money upfront to have a home gym
>>
>>75713377

not really, a fancier gym is probably more diverse in terms of machines but it doesn't matter

>>75713407
Huh, I haven't thought of it like that. Man, free gyms would be horrible.
>>
>>75713438
Best choice. No need to travel to get to your gym, no need to wait to use the equipment, and you can use it anytime.
>>
>>75713418
>$40 a month is enough to price out urban scum
What shithole do you live in? The cheapest gyms around me at minimum 60 a month.
>>
In theory, $0. I have a budding home gym. However, I live in rural Alaska and have to take a plane to get to my village, and that means paying $0.50 per pound of shit I fly out with. So, since I've bought a few dumbbells, a bar, plates, etc per month for a year, it works out to about $300/month
>>
>>75713377
My job has a Health Reimbursement Plan that covers up to 60 dollars in gym fees. As long as I show a transaction payment from the gym, I get the money reimbursed. I get to work out for free.
>>

100€ a month and yes its worth it because it keeps all the "youths" out

Perfect because everyone pays and no one else uses it beyond those first two weeks of January.

Wrong, time is money so you still pay of your finite time of your life
>>
>>75713377
20 bucks a month at a local garage gym, where there are no pajeets and no worthless retards hogging the power racks. I always get my choice of equipment in the morning
>>
>>75713377
$15/month because i'm poor and only need the step mill and some dumbbells anyway.
>>

>Is it worth paying more to go to a fancier gym?
If it appeals to you, I guess, but you're basically paying more to have less equipment, worse equipment, and you're required to wipe down everything like some sort of janitor.

$60 a month for both my son and I.
>Is it worth paying more to go to a fancier gym?
We have 8 benches/8 squat racks, barely any cardio equipment and no women at my gym. God no I would never change it if I can help it.
>>
>>75713377
I looked at the video of that $10k/month gym in NY with its gaslighty "A.I. coaching" and it struck me luck such a giant scam. Even the red lights at planet fitness get mogged by some $8 LEDs off amazon.

€20 a month. Cheap as fuck but I'm mostly using the place for weighted calisthenics so I'm not too bothered. Once spring rolls around I'll go back to training at the calisthenics park again.
Because of the price, though, it's got a lot of idiots who don't know what they're doing. On the other hand loads of sexy Latinas to give me motivation.

Trashy people have never been a problem at any gym I've been to: I've observed that anyone who has the discipline to attend a gym regularly is an organised person generally, with good self-control. It's not like, say, catching a flight, where there's a good change you'll end up sat with a bunch of fat, stupid, noisy people unless you stump up for business class.

I live in the suburbs so I only pay $30 for a well stocked gym.

I used to live and work in Boston. Then you realize why gyms charge $100+ a month. It's simply to filter trash. Literally every planet fitness is full of immigrants ironically it's Indios and Indians. Whites and Asians pay the extra money.

One thing I will say about the expensive gyms are the locker room amenities. I went to a gym that was $120 10 years ago (so probably $200 now) and the locker room was incredible. Top tier shampoos and conditioners, different kinds if soaps and lotions, disposable razors and shaving gel. Towel service etc.

120 for myself and the lady. it's a ymca in a nice area.

it's worth paying more to not be around brown people. so either pay up or go to a bombed out place that only has weights and no cardio equipment
>>
>>75713377
The main benefit of a more expensive gym is that people will behave slightly better due to sunk cost

There aren't really any cheap gyms in my city but recently switched from a "cheap" $50/mo to a nicer $75/mo that comes with towel service, sauna, steam room, pool, nice showers, etc. and its much nicer to go there.

Nicer equipment and racks with big clean lifting platforms is a big bonus.

More expensive is also nice because the broccoli head teens don't go there and its full of tight 20 year olds wearing their tight tiny gym outfits.

You can certainly build just as much muscle at the cheaper gyms assuming they have the equipment that you need.

OP asked and we answered faggot
>>
$10 a month. The only downsides of my gym are that it's hours are weird mon - friday 7am-8pm then 9am-5pm on saturday and closed sunday.

Otherwise it has dumbells up to 100 pounds and almost all popular / common machines on top of being empty 95% of the time. Tis the citys gym mostly for police / city workers but is open to the public.
>>
$60 a month. It's a locally owned gym that's more powerlifting/bodybuilding/enthusiast oriented so there aren't as many normies as like an LA Fitness or you average chain gym while also having much better and way more equipment.
>>
$80 a month, boxing shit, sauna and some extra crap they justify the price with (it doesn't').
It's 5 min walk from my house though, so that's handy.
I used to go to a place that's about 25 minutes walk and that was $25/month, thinking of switching back.

My current gym membership options are $100 up front for 3 months, or $300 up front for the year. And it is worth every penny.
My previous gym, a Lifetime Fitness Onyx class was something like $120 and was worth every penny. If you have a Lifetime Fitness available in your area, definately do it.

£45 a month. Might be a bit pricey, but it's a two minute walk from my front door, and I can use the swimming pool as often as I want (never)

We probably saw each other lol. My work had a promo where you got a membership there and government center for like $50 a month. Inused to like to watch the drug deals on Washington st when I was on the treadmill. I went there from 2006-2009 when I switched jobs.

I went to this place pulse that was across from the state street building. $120 a month and the size of a shoebox but decent equipment. Full of 10/10 smoking hot pussy and the locker room was insane.
>>
I bought my yearly membership the other day. 78 euros for the whole year + I can go to the classes.
>>

>>
It's worth it if you have enough disposable income to justify it, or if someone else is paying.

Pros: the more expensive a gym is, the less trashy its clientele; equipment is marginally nicer; towels; and hotter girls.

Cons: you're paying more for the same thing; and there will usually be at least 1 person vlogging at any given hour

>I would pay a lot more for space, quality equipment and no retards
How much more would you pay, though?

In my area, the problem is good gyms that charge in the $30-$50 range are all far out of the way. Inside the metro area, it’s mostly $10 globogyms and a small handful of superior places charging up to $120/mo.
>>
buddy at the counter hooked me up for 10 years of membership at 300 dollars. Took a photo of the contract, looks ridiculous. Gym is decent, sauna, pool, lots of free weight and machines.

>>75713377
Shockingly, like most anons itt I pay like 40$ per month, but it's like a work benefit card that you pay for and have unlimited access to gyms, swimming pools, bouldering gyms etc etc.
Pretty sweet deal but honestly i'd rather pay 150$ per month just to filter most of the retards, zoomers, DIVERSE YOUTHS and pakis.
For now going super early in the morning works well enough, but a price barrier would be more effective
>>
70 euros for 6 month, local gym. It's small, it's kinda shit, and it's the only one that's feasible in my routine. Gymgoers ain't too bad, insanely cheap and convenient, so you won't see me complaining thoughbeit.

Maybe the top of the bell curve tends to lean positively, but it's still a bell curve. You'll never weed out ALL the filth. Some that I've personally seen that come to mind:
>Roided-out meatheads that are insecure about their shriveled up balls.
>The people that never re-rack their weights.
>And those that have to scream at the top of their lungs after every rep.

I'm a martial artfag but I go to commercial gyms that have punching bags and have the hot females plus they have air conditioning which is nice compared to just the fans they have at the boxing gym I used to go to
The boxing gym I used to go to is like $50 a month for gym membership and $150 a month if you want a trainer to train you

but right now I'm paying $30 at golds gym that has punching bags with a one time annual fee of $60 in october.

I used to pay like $100-150 a year for 24 hour fitness up to their sport level gyms. But Gold's is so much better the price hike is worth it.
>>
$30 Leaf bucks. I got in during a Goodlife opening sale. I am looking at least $50 everywhere else.

I wish I wasn't so cheap, I would be much happier if I went to a gym that matched my culture more. Tired if these casual roid users eye fucking my weight and trying to keep up. Then finishing early because they didn't wipe a single fucking machine.
