Zerchers aren't that useful. I played with them for a bit, being good at regular squats and deadlifts make you good at zerchers by default. This is a screenshot from hitting 400x11, I've done over 5 for a single with minimal training. I stopped because it was a lot of extra work to not accomplish as much.

As far as I can see it, nobody has zercher squatted more than 650 before. And just in general there's plenty of oly lifters who front squat 200+kg, you can probably count the amount of people who can zercher that one one hand.
Why not just lift a sandbag? Or a stone? Zerchercels always use the LE FUNCTIONAL argument but if you really wanted to be build "useful" strength lifting real objects, you'd just lift real objects. Zerchers are like a weird inbetween half measure.

I used to think so too until I realized you'd never actually carry anything like that and squat. It also prevents you from loading heavier so really it's mostly downsides. Stick to high bar back squats and deadlifts.

I have to hold it in my hands like an overhead press, and it limits by ability to overload front squats. I would do that cross arm thing but I have no rack and do all my barbell lifts from the ground, so, zerchers are my best option.It's "functionality" feels a lot more appropriate if you're into jiujitsu and a strong underhook is an important part of your athleticism.
