Mike Mentzer has never done any of his splits. He only did a 3 day per week full body routine. Only one set per exercise. No more rest than required to set up for the exercise. >Leg Press>Leg Extension>Barbell Squat>Hamstrings>Calves>Nautilus Pullover>Pulldown>Pec Deck>Press>Shrugs>Lateral Raise>Overhead Press>Biceps>Chin ups>Triceps >DipsThe same thing with Ray Mentzer and Casey Viator. He'd get it all down within 45 minutes. This is according to Roger Schwab. https://youtu.be/67bJX6U-4d4?t=2431Schwab also never saw him do rest-pause. Forced reps and negatives were incidentally and not regular. No splits. Ray and Casey trained even harder and heavier than Mike. Mike had to stop training as heavy as them because his joints couldn't handle it. So there you know. Volume is a meme. 2-3 full body days per week with little or no rest and pre-exhaust like Arthur Jones said is the way to go.
