Just went for my first jog and i feel amazing but my knees hurt from running on concrete. I mostly use a home gym but might get a gym membership just for a treadmill. Anyone else like this? Also thinking about lifting in the mornings and jogging every day after work. Hiw long would it take to get to the point where i run miles each day sometimes before work as well?
Could you find somewhere to run that isn't on concrete? I also avoid running on concrete
>>75722078holy fucking yap dude
>>75722091>Uneven fields with tall grass where i might break an ankle, concrete, treadmillThose are the convenient options but i just remembered there is a high school 15 minutes away with a track field.
>>75722078Well it's winter, so I've been using this as an excuse to treadmill-max. Treadmills are much softer than concrete, so you should run on those if your joints are a concern.>your joints hurtThat's part of running. Everything's gonna hurt. I've found that you should do dynamic stretches before and static+dynamic after, then your joints won't hurt as bad. You also need to train your core and do yoga. Also, you need to realize that pain is one thing, injury is another. >>75722096Fuck off retard, running on concrete without $200 running shoes is fucking hard. It wears out the body and can cause serious injury. I've almost destroyed my knee by running on concrete with shitty shoes. I ran like 18 miles on fucking concrete, then the next day during Judo my knee popped (it was a ligament). Took months to heal.
