How do you guys train your abs.

Also ab tips.
>>
I do a lot of ab sit ups with a plate similar to the right one but my feet are under a weight to stay stable and I push my plate up above my head as I go up, taking the plate down back to my chest as I go down.

When I have a few reps left in reserve I just freeze in the right pose (again legs under a weight for stability though) and I hold there as long as I can, just make sure you push your abdomen inward into your diaphragm, never do ab exercises while having an anterior pelvic tilt or you will get back pains.

what do your abs look like
>>

Leg raises are good, cable crunches are great, ab wheel is goated
>>

my abs suck bros. I had a 2 pack back when I was a soccer/tennis twink (6’1” 145) and I’ve never had more than a 2 pack on any of my cuts.
I can do hanging leg raises (toes to bar) and I’ve done my meme ZOG-style high rep sit ups but my abs haven’t grown.
I did cable crunches on a dreamer bulk but I got chunky enough that my abs were hidden by fat and by the time I cut either that muscle had catabolized or it was never there in the first place.

You gotta train it like any other muscle. Do heavy weighted ab exercises in the 5-20 rep range. Stuff like machine crunches, cable crunches, weighted leg raises, weighted decline situps, etc. None of that "ab circuit" bullshit.
>>
>>75722981
I just do hanging leg raises because I’m a pussy and don’t want to use my spine
>>
>>75723157
Same. Hanging leg raises, hanging knee raises, hanging windshield wipers.
>>
Hanging knee raises tear my abs up. I split the sets between typical straight in front of my chest and alternating side to side.

I'm not very lean if that's what you ask, but the ab muscles themselves are very developed. I can do most of the "hard" abs workouts without a problem and I can take a punch from amateur boxers like it's nothing. If you just want a six pack you don't need the perfect abs regimen, just train them in the most normie way you can and cut fat.

Incline bench holding 20kg plate and hanging leg raises with ankle weights - an extra 2kg is killer.
>>
I do decline situps and hanging leg raises.

Decline situps is my favourite, but they're kinda scary to go heavy on, and it's suprisingly difficult to do right without feeling a tightness in the back for me. But holy fuck do they hit hard.

I literally just do Ab Ripper X every other day. I started 2 weeks ago, and I went from nothing to almost visible 2 pack. The video is literally 15 minutes. Invest 15 minutes of your whole day, get in return abs. Easy as fuck.
>>
Are leg raises combined with a hip thrust good?
>>
>>75724850
To further add I do like 3x30 of them after working out. Is that too much?
>>

Decline crunches and leg raises for ab size

For strength I do farmer carries and just progress with squats & deadlifts for core

how does one get this type of definition, or does it also require larger muscle from heavy weighted exercises?

ab wheel rollouts

i do ab sit-ups on the bench with 3pl8 on my chest
>>
>>75722981
holding myself up on the dips stand and doing leg raises
i read that it, along with hanging, allow for fuller ROM than lying exerices since your legs can also reach slightly backwards in the air so I liked the concept
then again i'm dyel so my arms get tired before my abs do lmao
>>
How the hell are you guys doing leg raises instrad of knee raises? I'm not flexible enough to get them horizontal. I'm not fat.
>>
>>75722981
I squat and deadlift heavy
>>
>>75726945
After just 2-3 months of squatting and deadlifting I found I could touch my toes. Flexibility was an unexpected but pleasant side effect.

Came for psoa autist ranting. Disappointed

You still hit abs though retard
>>
>>75722981
I used to never train abs now I do them twice a week right now just for strength. But 99% of people who want a "six pack" just need to lose fat and their ab exercises are doing literally NOTHING.
>>
>>75722981
did so for the first year of lifting and then never again, do your heavy compounds folks

t. have a lifelong 6 pack
>>
>>75722981
lying leg raises
hanging leg raises
pallof presses
planks
side planks
russian twists
curl ups
>>
>>75722981
What is the exercise in the pic for obliques, supposed to be side planks? And is the last one Russian twists?
>>
>>75723121
Isn't it better to hold the plate behind your head? Obviously, you'll need to use less weight but that's where the load should be, right?
