it was not planned. it is not a resolution. I have been a moderate drinker most of my life, beginning under age, as most do. the majority of that time I would file under "functional alcoholic." I have always been employed, own a house/acreage, live debt-free except modest mortgage (70% paid off)I have been drinking less over the last year. I'm middle aged, and hangovers come with even one or two drinks, mixed or otherwise. 30pk pabst = 25cr. that money can be used to improve my daily life.I feel better. I don't "plan on quitting drinking" but I much prefer not feeling shitty and investing that money in myself.housewife still drinks a lot. she knows I want her to cut back, and she "tries" but she comes from a line. she, like I, is high functioning. she takes care of the house, farm, gardens, livestock, cooking, cleaning & laundry. nonetheless, it's not healthy. she is currently a yogi-tier smokeshow in amazing health. no one can but her can make the choice. she is 8 years younger than me, so hopefully she comes around like I did.
If you continue to set the example for her then maybe she'll eventually come around... one of these years.
