Has anyone tried lifting only once a week full body? How did it go?

What is the goal of your routine? Are you interested in size, strength, etc?
I did a 3-day brosplit for 12 years, then a couple years ago started jiu-jitsu 3x a week, and in response to the schedule crunch tried the 1x week full-body.
Didn't like it. Too much for one session, and made the whole thing an inferior and diluted effort.
I compromised by merging Chest/Tris & Back/Bis into Monday, then Shoulders/Legs/Core on Fridays, for a 2x week weightlifting routine and have been very happy.
