Does anyone have this issue where if you eat pasta (especially non-meat sauce like pesto, alfredo or primavera etc), you feel hungry very soon after? Is there a reason for this?
>>75726155You have insuline resistance probably
>>75726155Ever since I was a kid, I do not feel fill unless I've had meat with my meal. Vegetables and carbs are not satisfying and I'll be hungry right away.
>>75726155Lack of protein. Protein satiates you through the same GLP-1 mechanism Ozempic is raving about. I'm on a protein spared modified fast right now and I've eaten about 220g of protein today and a little over 1100 calories. I don't feel hungry at all. I'm getting the symptoms of really low leptin because of how low my calories are, like feeling cold and sleepy, but I'm not hungry or lacking in energy during the day. If you're eating a normal amount of calories each day then upping your protein a bit will keep you full for longer. Since you're vegetarian add a hearty portion of lower fat cheeses like parmigiano reggiano or asiago to your dishes
>>75726155well yeah, pastas are just simple carbs which do little to satiate you. Try adding some edamame or broccoli with your pasta to make it more filling. Additionally, you should be aware of how calorie dense pastas are, and what a serving actually looks like, if you aren't already. I think a big blind spot in American diets are "italian food" with its enormous plates of pasta. People don't realize just how easy it is to eat 1k+ calories of pasta without realizing it.
>>75726155>Is there a reason for this?Yeah, because it barely has enough nutrition to qualify as real food.
>>75726155I don't eat this garbageI eat only whole grain pastasand I don't use sauce, all poison, all oiled poisonI only use fresh tomatoes and garlic
>>75726155Pasta is pretty low satiation to begin with no matter how much protein or fiber you put with it. You have to address it as part of a larger meal and not just "only eating the entrée) kind of things to make it stick.People tend to want to eat the same weight of food a day regardless of its caloric content so if you're getting 400 kcal from 300g of pasta and the whole meal weighs less than 1.33 lbs and used to eating 4 lbs of food a day yeah you're going to be hungry even if you have zero blood sugar issues.
>>75726155Plants have zero nutritional value for humansOnly meat has digestible nutrition
>>75726198This 100%nothing made me love pasta more than learning to cook a bunch of different versions of it a few years ago. But its a thick meal. If I'm eating pasta on a cut generally its smaller portions of noodles but bigger portions of meat.Lemon tuna pasta is the shit
