Do you do cardio before or after you lift?
>>
depends
>>
>>75726973
i only do cardio
>>
>>75726973
Never because I don’t actively kill my muscle gainz idiot.
>>
It's very simple but you niggers need to ask the same question for 10 years
Warming up is important, but don't confuse it with cardio. Walk for 30m or something similar then proceed to do muscle specific warmups. If you do actual cardio before lifting they're competing stimuli.

You can do cardio after lifting, you will obviously be a bit tired already but supposing lifting is your priority that's alright. You also don't have to autistically keep track of what zone you're in to avoid burning glycogen unlike what you'd do if you did cardio before lifting.

>kill gainz
How so?
>>
>>75727023
all pro body builders do cardio
it helps recovery speed, also helps you recover between sets more efficiently, literally most effective way to heal your body
10x better than bullshit hype like ice baths and red lights and whatever else
just 30 mins 3-5x a week
>>
I do a little walking on my treadmill on rest days
>>
I don't do cardio in the winter, it's too cold and I don't want to sweat too much.
>>
>>75727023
Only prolonged cardio triggers cortisol release. You're probably a powershitting bloatlord.
>>75727327
This.
>>
After
>>
>>75726973
I always run 3-5k on the mill after. But my weightlifting volume is low and I run every day, I'm more into running than lifting.
>>
>>75727106
>Walk for 30m
Waste of time. You can run or bike 5-10m and warm up just as well.
>>
some do 10 mins before to "get the circulation going" and most do it after, because after the strength training your muscles are depleted of glycogen (ideally) and your body has to tap into fat reserves to keep providing energy
>>
>>75726991
Based. Lifting is very gay.
>>
>>75727616
Gayest "activity" there is (it's not even a sport). You get big so other men can admire your body. Women like fit men, and fit does not mean hypertrophied muscles with a sub-optimal weight to strength ratio.
>>
Any anons who lift and do cardio but also do a second round of cardio later or earlier in the day?
>>
>>75726973
Neither. I try to keep as much time as possible between running and lifting, 6 hours minimum.

>>75726991
>>75727616
>>75727638
Victim weight

>>75727647
I usually stagger days, when they overlap it's cardio in the AM and lifting in the PM. Don't sleep on swimming it's God-tier as long as you don't overeat afterwards.
>>
>>75727313
nta. You workout and rip muscle. If you do cardio right after then are fatiguing that ripped muscle. It hinders growth.

You do cardio before workout then you aren't your best for the workout and make less gains.

Cardio separate from workout is fine and won't screw with anything. Unless you are staking ripping muscle. If you did squats and you blast your quads on the bike then you are hitting the same muscle group without recovery.

For the record, cardio is important. If you are breathing too heavy at above 5 reps you aren't going to progress.

I run (not jog, run) 15 minutes on my way to the gym, and jog 20+ minutes on my way back.

that's literally what it means. the #1 indicator of mating success in men across the board is simply having a muscular upper body. despite and regardless of anything women might say, abs and arms are objectively, verifiably the only thing women care about.
>>
>>75726973
I do it after. There's no way I'd make gains ass blasting myself after exhausting myself on a treadmill.
>>
>>75727720
You sound like someone who is afraid to lift to failure. Dint wanna fatigue your mucles lol
>>
>>75728140
I am afraid that I won't lift to failure. I will remove every obstacle, like muscle fatigue, to do so.

You got it backwards bro.
>>
>>75726973
>Do you do cardio before or after you lift?
After. But sometimes I do some more small lifting after I do cardio.
