On isolations such as biceps curls i mean.
What s the most hypertrophic

Rir isn't useful on single joint isolations because they're low fatigue anyways. So just go to failure on every set in a range where it feels like you have the fewest even fractional reps in reserve.
>>
>>75727333
your first set is the most stimulating, so go ham on your first set
the rest is just fluff pump stuff
>>
There's no point in ever going to failure. It makes you take longer to recover without adding any more stimulation.
>>
>>75727391
doing RiR is like edging without ever cumming. its pointless, and satisfactory.
if you dont go to failure you are a gay pussy

Going to failure on last/all sets on stuff like pushdowns, curls, lateral raises is fine, these are just accessories, don't overthink them.
I don't even count reps anymore on isolations, i judge if my strength is going up from the Top sets on compounds like OHP, Bench, Squat.
As long as you are progressing on your compounds, you're good.

You are a subhuman. Kill yourself.
>>
>>75727415
No, failure is what is pointless. Science proved that it doesn't bring any more gains than keeping reps in reserve, and common sense tells us that it's worse because it makes you take longer to recover.

last set. first sets are warmups.
really just think of doing one set to failure and everything leading up to that is just heating your body up.

do you realize how stupid that sounds?
common sense tells us it's better because muscles respond to stress. as long as you're not doing mechanical damage to the supporting structures, training to failure is always better.
no, I'm not saying slip a disk because you're doing a set of three at your 1RM weight.

>>75727333
Bicep curls is lol. Its simply the best. Kind bitch fuck the china dick. Keep curling. Keep curling. Get jacked.
>>
>>75728406
Facts don't care about your feelings. You can have sufficient mechanical stress to provide a growth stimulus long before failure, and there's no evidence that going to failure is more helpful than not. People want to believe that it does because they want to believe that hard work pays off, but that's not how nature works, otherwise the most efficient way to workout would be to go all-out, all day long, every day.

Question:
Ok let's say going to failure is important for the right stimulus for muscle growth.
BUT at the same time volume (amount of lifted weight, basically set x reps x weight) is important for muscle growth, and where there is more failure there is less volume, because after u got failure in one set you ll get less reps out of the following set.
So if you go to failure each set u ll end up having done much less volume than if you got failure only on the last set.

Volume>reaching failure for hypertrophy?
or
Reaching failure frequently>overall training volume?

I'm an advocate for training to failure. Within reason the only things that matter is that you exhaust the target muscle then go eat, rest and recover. Once it feels okay again do the same again. Doesn't matter if that is 3x5 with heavy weight leaving barely a rep in reserve or 3x20 with lighter weight leaving barely a rep in reserve as long as you stick with that + progressive overload you'll make gains. You can argue all you want about which is more fun, easier, easier on your joints, better for hypertrophy etc, but ultimately who gives a shit, just do that for 18 months and you'll hit 80% of your natty limit. The remaining 20% will take the rest of your life, but also will come with thicker hands, thicker forearms, a bigger head etc, basically all the shit that comes with age if you spend your life doing man stuff.

Fast twitch muscles like biceps require low set/rep ranges but high intensity
Also mTOR is highly activated on the eccentric

What the fuck is RiR? Why can't you people talk in simple and straight terms?

Palestinians started the war decades ago when they refused the proposed two-states solution, then started massacring Israelis, before forming an Arab coalition of multiple countries to invade and annex Israel, which they lost.
>>
>>75729470
Yeah, fuck those oppressive Palestinian bullies, with their tanks and their fighter jets and their intercontinental ballistic missiles. All those poor Jews want is to live in peace, am I right
>>
>>75729495
The conflict didn't start in the past few years. Originally, the Israelis didn't even have a country yet when the Palestinians attacked them. And yes, back then, all the Jews wanted was to live in peace in their own homeland, but Muslims can't accept that, because they want the entire world.

Yeah, now we know it wasn't a solution. Fortunately, the Muslims have the entirety of the rest of the middle-east and north african to go live in.
>>75729524
The "colonization" you're talking about was just Jews buying private plots of land in the region back when it was a British colony and forming communities. Palestine as a country existed after Israel did.
>>
>>75729048
RiR is a decade old concept at this point did you just discover fitness lil zoom zoom?
>>
>>75727333
I work out as a form of self-punishment so I do sets until failure until I can't do a single rep. Seems to work well so far.
>>
>>75727333
>All sets to failure
if you actually do this then you end up having to rest ages and reduce the weight with each set and even then you might still struggle to hit a reasonable rep count after the first set. to me that seems antithetical to hypertrophy. I'd rather do a consistent weight and rep count across all my sets and reach complete failure only in the last one.
