How much should a grown man be able to do on the leg press for a 3x12?
>>75729459Its subjective. As much as his streignth allows.
>>75729459That's a sexy 10 year old
Just do whatever. You shouldn't be tracking leg press anyway
>>75729654What
>>75729666this. only compare bench squat dl and ohp. the rest you do whatever you feel good with
>>75729459It’s objective. As much weiaght as there is.
>>75729654For a man
>>75729459I do that with 5pl8 because that's the max the machine at my gym can hold... So I'll say that. But leg press is so easy that, like other anons say, it doesn't really warrant as much tracking.
>>75730045Leg press is mainly for boomer ego lifters and rehabbing injuries. Every now and then though, it's fun to load 4pl8 and crank reps until your quads want to explode. Do some calf shit after, same deal push it until they are raw.
>>75729459I'm in my mid 30s, weigh 170 lbs, balance strength with muay thai and a full time job on my feet, and I can leg press 450 for 12, so, more than that if you're in your 20s, not in a combat sport, and have any time to sit at work.
>>75730072Yeah man. I like doing it after working upper to fail, just so I can be doing something else while my top gets a break. Makes monkey brain feel good after almost snapping chest lol
>>75729459I started doing narrow, very low foot stance and had to drop a whole two plates on my leg press. Hits the quads insanely hard, great pump after. Realized that doing a wider stance or higher up the panel engages a lot more hip action even if you don't mean to, makes it easier. Plats did his hack squats the same way
