It's like these people don't even lift, you don't just gain mass in legs overnight, you can stop hammering certain body part the moment you see it's overpowering your physique you can change your programming accordingly.
Also people who say to stop squatting and deadlifting are also equally retarded, strong legs are a must for random scrapping ability, you just don't have to put more volume in your lower body than upper like SS tells you to, and you don't really have to do isolations either. Do something like 5/3/1 on Squat/DL without any other leg exercises and you will have strong legs without tumor quads.
