Would it be retarded to do PPL 6 days a week as a out of shape skinny fat beginner?
>>75730962Very retarded. Just do full body 3 days per week to start out. When you're a noob you can keep things simple and progress quickly. Do a squat variation and then a hip hinge of some kind. Next hit your chest, shoulders, and back with 1-2 lifts each. Finish with a lift each for the biceps and triceps. Then you're done and dusted. Stretch if you want and don't forget to warm up
>>75731047How long would I be in the gym for when I go
>>75731130If you're doing 2-3 hard sets per lift and resting 2-3 minutes between sets you'll be in the gym for 1.25-1.5 hours depending on how long it takes you to warm up and if you fuck around between lifts or not
>>75731130Until you're done with your choice of 3 sets of every full body exercise in your program at 8+ reps with appropriate weights for your ability. It's ok to lift below what you can for like a month, to get down proper technique, your muscle will still get slightly stronger but what's more important is bones and tendons and your skin that don't adapt as fast as muscles, don't increase weights too fast even if you can lift more.
>>75731152>resting longer than 40s
>>75731180I'm sorry anon, I thought we wanted to get some gains, not pretend to work harder than is actually useful. Do you also do circuit training and shadowbox with dumbbells between your sets? Dipshit.
>>75731218I'm not the one telling a beginner to do 2-3 sets without resting then do more sets after resting for way too long when 3 sets is already too much and if you're resting over 60s inbetween sets you may aswell go home and learn how to sleep properly.
>>75731235Genuine question. Do you have a learning disability or something? I didn't tell him to do 3 sets with no rest. I wanna call you a retard but what you wrote is so absolutely stupid that I would actually feel bad calling you that if you do have something developmentally wrong with you
>>75731238If that were true, it would take like 30 mins, not almost 2 hours. Maybe you forgot to omit your faggy isolated exercises that you cope with to be>5% more efficientwhich are not only worthless to beginner, but never useful at all?
>>75731248Okay, I'm going to spell this out for you slowly.>warm up for squat with a set of light work>take the time to load up more weight as a rest period>get ready to actually lift decently heavy weight>do your set>rest 2-3 minutes>do your set>rest 2-3 minutes>do your set>take the weights off the bar>go to the next exerciseYou would do this like 8 or 9 times. Am I getting through to you now, ESLnigger? I hope you're ESL at least, because if not, Jesus Christ
>>75731273>beginner>warmupgive 30kg to a beginner and he will be exhausted before time comes to put on 300kg to LARP on 4chanMaybe you should be less of a DYEL and you will find out that 60s rest is already too long unless you're a beginner, 3 sets of 8 reps each with 5 different full body exercises resting at 60s inbetween each set takes under half an hour and you need to stop coping.
>>75731047dumb bell squatsrdlpushups overhead presspull ups/ chinupscurlsdipshow's this? I'm at home with a dumbbell set and chin up bar
>>75731287Oh I see. You overplayed your hand bro lol You got me. Solid. I fell for it like a doofus and was actually getting mad for a minute. Well played
>>75731335>I was almost realizing that I am wrong.yeah ok, I'm sure your specialized twink bottom routine with a pre-workout and post-working and intermittment mid-workout pre-workout is totally relevant to a total beginner that will try to do it twice as fast than I estimated and will need to be slowed down by a spotter if he can find one
>>75731334Pretty good although the dips are mainly a chest exercise unless you're doing them really vertical. If your shoulder joint isn't robust you'll be risking an injury. A dumbbell overhead extension would be a safer bet for your tricep exercise
>>75731342thanks anon
>>75731334skip curls and dips, worthless exercises
you described me and im seeing good results with a 6 day PPL.Just listen to your body and deload once you start to feel too fatigued.
>>75730962No, you should definitely do 6 or even 7 if you want to get big. You don’t get much cns fatigue as a beginner and ppl has recovery built in so you don’t need rest days. Also you are more likely to stick to it if you just make it a part of your daily routine.
