Why don’t you care about all the people victimized by alcohol induced crime? All the children and women beaten by drunken husbands, or worse. All the innocent kids killed by drunkdrivers. All the innocent fathers beaten to death by drunken yobs on a night out.

Where’s the care for them, you alcoholic faggot? They should just keep suffering so you can have your pisswater at the end of the week because you’re too weak to get through life without it?

Kill all alcohol drinkers.

Because everything should be legal, it's just as wrong to prohibit the use of something as it is to actively encourage its use.
Alcohol should be legal but it should be illegal to advertise it anywhere, and definitely no sponsorships of sports and things like that. It should be there, but silent in the background, and if someone wants to use it ok, but what we have going on is a situation where it's being thrown in your face from every angle and these ads make it seem like it's ok to drink, but it's absolutely not alright to use alcohol in any amount except in extraordinary occasions
>>

>Kill all alcohol drinkers
That's illegal.
>>
>>75731620
Because it's easy to produce and the effect of gov't regulation and intensive policing required to prohibit such activity is many orders of magnitude more harmful than the substance itself.
Instead, the production and consumption of alcohol should be treated as a public health issue, and medical and educational professionals should instead look into ways to reduce the social propensity to consume alcohol.

There is exactly one benefit of alcohol being legal. I get to watch bitches get arrested for DUIs or OWIs on YouTube.

>>75731620
You can make money off alcohol, which can pay for a gym membership or a home gym.

Faggot, the government can try to ban stupidity first. Last time they tried to ban booze they created the mob.

because I am a free man
didn't read anything but the title of the thread btw

6 months sober, so far:
>Grey hair went away
>Eyebags disapeared
>Lost 20 lb and my abs are visible
>Allergies are non existent
>Gyno is gone
>Don't have anxiety or depression anymore

I got bamboozled by the alcohol for 15+ years, I don't think it should be totally illegal but the romanticization of this drug is really harmfull for society and it should be heavily regulated.

Wine and alcohol is a symbol of civilization. Anybody who is against it wants civilization to die. And if that person is motivated by the death of civilization then he is no friend of me or mine as he wishes us to die. Therefore, I shall ignore anything this person says as their interests do not align with my well being. Henceforth, OP is a gay faggot

Heavy drinker here.
I posted yesterday given some of my recent experiences.
Last drink was Monday night.
I need to dry out as I just couldn't drink no more.
Can't get to sleep. Just had a couple of hours sleep since then. Feeling weak.
Psychologically: I'm having bouts of existential dread, panic attacks, depression and hopelessness, and then apathy. Although these seemed to have peaked last night.
Physically: wheezing, sore throat, and swollen lymph glands.

I don't think alcohol should be illegal. There shouldn't be collective punishment because a few guys like me greedily don't know when to put it down. Or, to put it a more accurate way, do know but choose to not do.

In anything in life, I don't believe in moderation this is for weak intellects
All or nothing is the true way

The U.S. already tried making alcohol illegal and it ushered in a really heinous era of not only organized crime but your average otherwise law-abiding citizens supporting organized crime efforts (to get them the illegal goods).
It's not a good result.

I'll also add that I once read a pretty good essay about alcohol is Islamic countries, regarding the idea that the people of those nations are somehow virtuous for refraining from that which is illegal and that they cannot easily obtain. I wish I could remember who wrote it, but his argument was they're not virtuous or even passing any real tests to show their commitment to the faith. If alcohol was legal and available everywhere and people still didn't drink it, then that would mean something far more significant.

Alcohol is like a bandaid to life being fucked up. Everybody is isolated in their own individual worlds with little strong connections to anyone else.

Ask yourself, who are you willing to sacrifice yourself for? If you truly had strong bonds with people, there would be at least a dozen people who you consider yourself family, people you can confide in, people who you trust and love, people who you would give up time and make sacrifices for.

In reality I have maybe one or two friends like this who I never see because they live in different cities and then a few family members (and thats patchy at best at times) and thats it.

Life is stressful, social units are broken down, people drink to release the stress of a broken society.

In order to reduce alcohol intake there needs to be a healthier society that aims to improve peoples social connections with their immediate friendship circles and their identity and belonging to their village, town, city, district, country. Their place in the world.

Right now alcohol is a substitute for feeling whole. but pleasure is insidious it feels good in the moment but its not fulfilling. Pleasure is empty but happiness is not. Hedonism is what people seek when they are not whole

Theres tens of millions of drinkers in the USA alone that drink enough to give themselves brain damage over a few decades. Its not just you

Most binge drinkers hide behind the "im a functional alcoholic" lie when theyre like 40, highly stressed, depressed, socially isolated and the wheels will fall off by the time they're 50.
>>
>>75731738
You need to wake up. Alcohol is so normalized that people think "happy hour" after work is perfectly fine and even a proper thing to engage in with co-workers, friends, and/or family. When was the last time you went to a party where alcohol was not present? It has nothing to do with ads and everything to do with a culture that centralizes alcoholic consumption.
>>
>>75731620
Why are so angry? Whats your story?
Or are you just some edgy 16 year old?
You come off as angry little kid with shit home life who takes it out on everyone else, us this an accurate depiction of you?
>>
i don't support it being legal
>>
alcohol is based. it will fix what is is wrong with alot of you faggots (unless you are from the subcontinent, then you are unfixable.)
>>
>>75736456
Alcohol doesnt fix shit, its a short-term medication for people that are stressed anxious lonely and bored and it makes your problems worse over time

Replace fix with cope poorly and youre getting closer to the truth
>>
>>75736466
>t. autistic faggot who should start drinking immediately
>>
>>75736468
Bro I had my drinking career at university and my early 20s. If you grow up to be an adult (which many people never do) you realise that the only people that have a healthy relationship with alcohol are people that have a healthy mental health. It turns out anyone that binge drinks is trying to escape some shit
>>
>>75736483
>never went to college

I know alcohol is for losers because I lived that life. Youre the one projecting thinking going to university is some hot shot weird thing to do

Where im from youre a complete loser if you didnt go to university. Even idiots go

>>

alcohol is super fun at first. then the hangovers get worse. you miss work, get in trouble. fights with gf. hangovers get worse. anxiety gets bad. drinking 3 4 5 days a week. the catch is the hangovers never stop getting worse, ever.
>>
>>75731620
Because the government should fuck off
>>
>>75736542
You know what winds me up more than anything. Is when people call mental health problems mental health

>he got mental health

Its a fucking stupid syntax. Its like saying "hes got the physical problem". Saying healthy mental health is correct. Saying "people have mental health" meaning bad mental health is stupid. Mental health is a spectrum meaning theres two sides and not just bad.

You need to get some better grammar skills stanislav. English is my first language and its clearly not yours for being so daft
>>
>>75736572
>whats wrong with the quadriplegic over there, stanislav?

missing work because of a hangover
you got worse problems than alcohol. you are a total pussy. men have been working hungover for 3000 years.
>>
>>75736613
Depends on the hangover.
>>
>>75731620
because the last time it was banned in the US, the wops, micks, and jews all just fucked off to the woods to make moonshine or simply ran it across the border and all funded their fucking mafias. the US STILL has italian, irish, jewish mafias that were started and funded during prohibition.
