Good day fellow Gireveks, ITT we discuss kettlebells. Between a set of kettlebells, a pullup bar, and gymnastics rings, I've replaced the gym entirely (out of necessity). If I could only have one piece of equipment, I'd take a 32kg kettlebell.

Kettlebells are:
> literally a shitty dumbbell at it's best
> otherwise a useless circus tool
> is an actual meme
>>
If I could only do one movement it would be clean&jerk with doubles. It's hard as fuck to do timed sets but it's quite effective in making anyone fit.

Yeah double anything is the way to go. I recently picked up a titan fitness adjustable comp style bell, it's a pretty good piece of gear. Can't adjust it on the fly but for weight progression it's perfect, from 12-32kg. Thinking of getting a second one for doubles (I pair it with the 20kg one I already have for now). Been doing the DFW program 3x week, with rooning or swings/pullups/dips on the off days.

I just don't like grinds too much. Mostly snatches and c&j. Basically GS training. If anything, I would do ABC EMOM.

I prefer ABC YOURMOM. Feel free to stick to cory chase though

Thought KBs were a meme until I gave it a try and got a 24kg KB mostly for swings but got bored with it and got a 2nd one to do doubles for clean and press, gorilla rows, and front squats. Replaced my home gym with a minimalist setup with KBs and will probably look to get a 32kg KB soon.

Have any of you done the extreme kettlebell cardio workouts by Keith Webber? I like the intensity of the workouts.
>>
I’ve managed to make great gains with just gym rings, a weighted vest, and kettlebells.

Using this setup, what isolation exercises are best? I found kettlebell curls to be awkward so I do pelican curls on the rings. I haven’t found a good lateral raise replacement since my lowest KB is 16kg and I can’t lateral raise that.

RIP Steve.

Mark Wildman is the GOAT of kettlebell instruction.

What about the "point feet straight ahead" thing, however? Is it a meme or should exercises really be done like that?

Your knees are only meant to move in 1 axis, so if you're bending your knees under load you want the movement aligned to that axis so none of those forces go any other direction. You control that with where you point your toes.

OK, but most sources I check for, e.g., squat form, will say "toes pointed slightly out". Of course, kettlebell exercises are quite different than your usual squat.
