If you could only do either incline bench or flat bench, which would you choose? which one is more important for aesthetics?
>>75747574just do bothbut for the sake of argumentdo incline if you don't do OHP/shoulder/tricep work (but you should)do flat if you want more straight pec focus
>>75747587I don't have time to do both, but I do practice the OHP and the BTN Press, so I guess flat bench would be sufficient for me. It's just that when I listen to interviews by famous bodybuilders they all seem to prefer incline bench for aesthetics
bump
>>75747643Not that anon, but you can rotate them as your push exercise for alternate days, you don't need to do them both on the same day. What I find however is that the groove of the bench can be thrown off quite a bit, so cycling them (incline only for 8 weeks -> bench only for 8 weeks) works better for me
>>75747574Incline bench is superior. Full stop.
>>75747574Incline.The few large natty bodybuilders I know all did the same thing in a lot of ways.Eat protein every 2 hours, use dumbbells instead of long bars, and other shit. They also all swore incline bench at lower weights works the pecs more so it caused more damage for faster growth.
>>75747643>AestheticsThere's the rub.Working out for muscle aesthetics, strength improvement, toning, and fat loss are all very different in how you approach the routine on a fundamental level.
>>75747574You won't get as big too much incline
>>75748233Incline will get you just as big if you do it right.
>>75748224>toning, and fat lossnani?
>>75748246Toning is focused on definition, fat loss is shedding excessive weight.Running will help you lose fat but is shit for muscle definition.Light weight total body exercise or calisthenics for definition. Both require a proper diet, toning is decreasing fat AND making smaller muscles stand out more without making them bulky. So skinny vs strong skinny build.
>>75747574Incline for optimal chest activation. I'd do dips regardless still
>>75747574>>75748193>>75748216seems like incline is generally betterso the next question is:full incline or slight incline?
>>7574862630 degree incline
