5'5 175lbs, on and off for 10years but recently locked in again. Plan: full body workouts every other day, each exercise until failure, progressive overload, and 7K-10K steps almost every day. Looking to get smaller and have muscle definition without looking too masculine, but already fucking up. Didn't want to show it, but when I'm standing/flexing my waist my torso is boxy like man's. Started doing lat pull downs to create an hourglass again, up to 90lbs until failure. Annoyed that I'm looking fat in some angles and weight is higher than I want, but I'm only two months into my plan. I'll get there.

After 10 years of smoking weed every day I decided to quit and take action. I started lifting 3/4 days a week and eating constistantly and healthier. Went from 62 kg to 82kg.
I know I can do better but I’m pretty happy with my progress compared to the concentration camp physique in 2024. I have started implementing boxing training 2 times a week to get some cardio.

it's a slow whittling process of bulking and cutting. but you have to be training hard and the whole time. when I'm bulking it's way more fun because I get to get stronger and really build up my muscle density. obviously the idea is to get as much lean muscle mass as possible and the way you train and eat is going to determine your results. I know this sounds so obvious and straightforward but really think about it: are you training in the most effective way possible? I wasn't and didn't even know it. All I knew was that at the end of 2023 I hit a plateau and couldn't seem to get stronger and couldn't seem to grow my muscles. at the time I was just doing the normal bodybuilding stuff that I always did and a commercial gym. I was lifting 4-5 days a week and trying to grow my compounds without any help. I didn't know what I was doing wrong. I ended up at a powerlifting gym and learned conjugate method. I started training with my gym buddy who is the most jacked natural athlete I've ever met and he told me to start working out seven days a week. I was skeptical, but I tried it and added 3 days of the programming her made for me and within only 5 months my body had completely transformed. turns out natural athletes respond very well to extra volume.

The point I'm trying to make with all of this is that I wasn't able to gain larger muscles until I was able to lift heavier. I wasn't able to lift heavier until I learned proper technique and form and started using programming that made me stronger. Being stronger enabled me to lift even heavier which made my muscles bigger, which then made me stronger, rinse repeat. Lol. But it was really adding more volume with those three extra days a week that made all the difference.

this picture is from last night. I don't think I've ever looked at this jack in my life so I'm pretty excited. I took it in my mom's storage room so yeah, that's definitely an empty box of Depends in the background.
