Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. Not lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

I bought one of those free-standing pull up bars. I still can't do a single pull up but I can do a couple of chin-ups, and I can do dips on the arm bars. So I'm doing squats, chinups, dips, knee raises, and push-ups. I don't know if it's doing anything but it feels good.

why dont you try spacing out your meals, smaller portions throughout the day, thinking "I cant eat for xx hours" would be a lot easier if it was just "i cant eat until the next 2 hours, okay now i cant eat until afternoon, ok now i cant eat until midnight, ok time to go to bed becasue i just ate and my belly is satiated"

I've been eating half a chicken a day instead of just breasts (its so much cheaper than buying breasts wtf?) not only have I been losing weight faster than when I was eating chicken breasts exclusively but holy fuck did I forget how good chicken can taste when it has all the skin, fat and bone. Originally I just did this because the super market was out of chicken breasts but now I've been exclusively buying whole roast chickens, roasting them in my air firer (they fit perfectly in the basket) then I cut them in half and eat the other half the next day.

I have no idea how to explain how I've been losing weight, according to cronometer I'm way over on calories, and eating far more than when I was just eating chicken breasts but number went down this week and last week, but hey, I'm not complaining this shit is delicious and number go down so I'm happy.

Nothing so special I'd call a recipe and I change up how I season it every time, I just toss the whole frozen chicken directly into my air fryer basket and cook it for 1~1.5 hours (depends on the size of the chicken) at 350F, I flip it over half way through cooking so both sides get crispy, I measure it to make sure its fully cooked, once fully cooked (when breasts read 160F) I cut it down the spine separating it in halves, then I just season with salt/pepper/spices ect. In my second basket I make veggies that I eat alongside the chicken (Broccoli, Spinach, whole garlic cloves, Whatever, ect) My air fryer as a match cook setting which lets me set this up in advance so it only starts the veggies after the chicken has been cooking awhile so they both finish at the same time.

The thing that gets me is how much cheaper it is, I'm spending half of what I used to spend on just eating the breast and now I'm getting the rest of a damn chicken along with it. You spend more just to have them remove the skin/fat/bone/thighs/wings, it feels insane.

If you connect it to some kind of Bluetooth ride tracking app on your phone like Wahoo, then yes. These take into account wattage, cadence and other metrics that make them very accurate. I burn a ton of calories on a stationary bike every single day and I eat those calories back because I'm at my goal weight and I've been weight stable for years.

I haven't been sneaking the chocolate this week.
I convinced my family to hide it better, out of sight, out of mind. I know its in there, and I know if I go looking for it I'd be able to find it, but the urge to eat them isn't strong enough to get me to do that so this is working.

That said I didn't lift this week. I think I pulled something in my side, it hurts a little and still does and I'm afraid of injuring myself and I used that as an excuse to just completely blow off any and all weight lifting. Might be smart to hold off on bigger compound lifts like squats, rows, and deads but its no excuse not to do stuff like bicep curls and calf raises. Monday is when I told myself I was going to start lifting again, my side still kinda hurts a little, especially after my morning run/walk, but I can't keep using that as an excuse to not lift. I took a whole week off already, this is the longest break I've taken from lifting since I started. Tell me father, what should I do? I seek your guidance. Is this smart to wait until the pain goes away entirely, or am I just being a pussy?

I thought of that, the half chicken weighs like 800~1000g, cooked, I weighed the bones after eating the chicken and subtracted it from the total, I actually just eat most of the small bones and suck the marrow from the larger bones so in the end the weight of the bones I discard was fairly insignificant, like only 20~40g out of 900g. 2. you gotta take your blood pressure twice daily, once in the morning, and once in the evening, because blood pressure fluctuates throughout the day.

at least that's what the doctor told me. she also said to make sure you stay adequately hydrated, but to empty your bladder prior to taking your measurement, and stay away from alcohol and caffeine prior to taking a measurement. if you lose weight then it should naturally drop, so I imagine it will improve as you continue to drop more.

I haven't lost weight in two weeks despite my eating and diet being mathematically sound.
My eating (2000 calories/day) should be enough to maintain my weight at 180 while being sedentary. I'm eating this at 220 while also walking 10k steps daily and lifting 3 times per week.

What I do in the morning sometimes is I scramble eggs and put a little bit of sugar in them. Tastes great. I've also put chocolate powder in the mixture and it tastes really really good and you get your little chocolate fix.

Try eating tons of protein (1.5-2g per pound LBM) and get your micronutrients right. Doomposting about health again... Anyone here familiar with beta blockers?
TL:DR; had a medical emergency last December. was at 110kg BP was like 192/115 something like that. Lost weight, low pulse bp so went to doc who had me quit cold turkey and I suffer now.
Share your thoughts or experiences so I may find some solace...

Honestly? If I'm above 135/85 now I'm feeling like shit and even that is pushing it. Anything above 140/90 is terrible. Headache, pressure, chest pressure, everything.
(Even though 135/85~ ish or even 140s used to be my baseline a year ago when I was on 2-3 energy drinks a day and slopmaxing.)

Thanks anon. I head into work at 4:45am everyday. I have been waking up at 2am recently and my plan is to start using the time between waking and leaving for work to go on runs. The plan is to spend a few weeks doing some easy 2 mile runs at a slow pace, then start incorporating sprinting drills. I have some calisthenics equipment that will be of more use when I can actually lift my own bodyweight, but was going to start doing like 4 sets of 25 pushups daily and do some one leg squats as well.

The biggest thing for me will not be eating like a revolting human garbage disposal.

Finally tried out the costco turkey sandwich
It was good, but way too much bread. I removed the bottom bun and it was better.
45g protein, probably somewhere around 700 calories. DESU I would pick up a slice of cheese pizza next time, similar protein (38g) but 1/3rd of the price and the same amount of calories.
I think I'm at 1800 cals / 125g of protein today? idfk lmao I just lift

Thanks. A few months back I was real sick and did a 5-day dry fast. Even a single sip of water would make me vomit and heave for several minutes. I lost like 15 lbs in that time, and kept it off for like a month in a half until I started eating like a fat retard again. I did 120+ hrs with constant vomitting and diarrhea, and never suffered cramps or headaches. It was an insane amount of diarrhea, literally within 15 mins of getting off the toilet I was running back to it for 3+ days, and I ended up shitting myself like 4x because I had to sleep at some point, only like 30 mins at a time but that was beyond the diarrhea respawn timer. From that experience, i wouldn't expect double that time to be uncomfortable if not having diarrhea and vomitting, and starting from being extremely well-hydrated. Metabolic water is a hell of a powerful thing.
