DYEL here. i get sharp pain in my ulna, about halfway between my elbow and my wrist, when i try to curl heavier weights. happens with both arms. it lingers for awhile even after i finish lifting. am i over-pronating? over-supinating? is more forearm too weak?

u're overusing wrist flexion in ur retarded curls, curls in general will work mostly forearm (wrist flexion muscles and brachioradialis) because long head shoulder biceps tendon is pinched/chocked/ blocked off - whatever u want to call it by flexing delt isometrically holding your humerus vertically, yes it happens in preachers also

how to prevent delt from chocking biceps and wrist flexion muscles from cramping during curls?
here's how:

delt must be completely soft for biceps work
>and how would u do that?
>sit on bench sideways and lean entire torso on elbow, then place dumbbell on palm close to wrist and balance it with other hand, and hold and supinate and flex biceps - all good things :D
and when i say i pushed pretty hard i mean it - push the dumbbell down with other hand

it's the same thing with wrist as when u flex biceps with completely bent elbow - muscles do not like that, they be cramping and when u persist it leats to damage, u can rip biceps off that way
johny aesthetics - dead roider - did just that, been posing and ripped biceps off bone cause it cramped, he had this idiotic style of flexing biceps by bending elbow fully
ironically he had poor mind muscle connection - u're supposed to flex biceps by flexing triceps

Yeah used to get the same pain when I first started, especially doing barbell curls. Felt like an electricity / zapping sensation.
It went a way after I escaped dyel mode, you'll be fine.
