>start training calves
>calves actually grow

wtf... you told me this was not supposed to happen? In half a year I went from doing my raises with 40kg (cheat form) to 100kg (slow and controlled)

it's the rectus femoris that grew not calves bot, quad part opposing knee flexion that gastrocnemius tries to achieve when u do calf raise
the result is the opposite of what u tried to achieve - even worse proportion of calf to thigh, even moar chicken legs

>so u be saying human i need knee flexion movement not extension
that is exactly what i am saying

>>honestly bot, heel-hook cured my leg aesthetics and health and strenght and functionality, i am 100% convinced there are few more overlooked movements with so many benefits

calf raises do not grow calves bot, heel-hook does
>>76673776
cause gastrocnemius bends the knee bot, it doesn't extend it ilke in calf raise

That one schizo that spams anti calf raises copypasta told you that
>>

The hamstrings bend the knee, the calf bends the ankle, but you might stimulate different parts of the calf if you do calf rises at different knee bending angles.
Nordic curls, or heel hooks as you call them will only isometrically contract the calf.

He's a schizo but an annoying shit one that dirties the board. His condition is not an excuse. The Mark guy for example is a good poster.
