When I was losing weight initially, being sedentary became challenging because of how I could literally only fucking think about how hungry I was, all the time.
If I wasn’t actively doing something, it was agonizing.
Watching movies or playing vidya became impossible.
So, every day I’d go walk to a different store (different distances depending on the amount of time I had) get my kitty a singular can of cat food.
I did a lot of walking and listening to music during that time and it helped me so god damned much, I can’t recommend it enough.
I would’ve never bought myself nice headphones, but I figured it was worth it if I’d be getting so much use out of them.
Now they’re my gym headphones.

(apart from that, throw it in a high yield savings or something- act like you don’t have it, it’ll come in handy when your check engine light comes on, seriously)

Down from 248 to 215 since 7/21 of this year. Body fat was 35% now it’s 25%. Trying to get 15% by December 31. Diet has been ketoish I have high protein a good amount of fat and little to no carbs. Lift 6x a week upper/lower walk every morning and night.

I took my body weight at 248lbs and added a zero making it 2480 and subtracted 500 from that. As I lose weight I adjust it. Right now I’m eating 1650 calories about 170-200 grams of protein

Learning to cook has made losing weight a far more realistic proposition for the simple fact that a lot of my own overeating came from feeling that when I had a subpar tasting meal I should eat something better in addition to it.
When I cook I am in full control of the taste of the food so I can guarantee that it will taste good, thus not being susceptible to the risk of having to eat more than necessary to feel satisfied. The other untold benefit is how much unprepared food you can have around (read: ingredients) that aren't simply snacks, which means you can always be an hour or two away from a delicious meal, but not 5-10 minutes, making impulse control much easier.
It's also much easier to plan out meals when you start brining something for tomorrow, or buying food ahead of time that you know you'll have to cook. A lot of the "cooking is unmanly" memes comes from zoomers living with their mothers (see andrew tate imagery) that have no control over what they eat and therefore need to denigrate it to escape the fact they don't really have a choice in the matter. The fox and the grapes, as you know.

1200-1400kcal sounds about right for 600g of rotisserie chicken. They are often brined/marinated too so there's extra water weight and the weight will vary between brands. Some have sugar in the seasoning, just watch out for that.

Depends what's your not-fat. Mine is "small", so clothes told me first I was not that fat anymore, then I believed it (there was a few months inbetween). If your not-fat is "swole", find different metrics. But the metric matters: proprioception has inertia, and the internal image we have of ourselves is lagging behind reality, so you need external objective metric to confirm (and also to tell you if you regain weight, because you won't feel it either, not up until a few months in).

Haven't really figured that one out, but I try to build my routine around having meals before high-impact events so that I am in my best mood at the time. In your case, having a larger meal before work might be what you need.

here's what you do with apples. go to the store and get some of those good sausages, any kind just make sure they're the ones that are already fully cooked so it's easy. cut up the apple into little bite-sized pieces and then slice up that sausage into rounds. put it all in a big bowl and microwave it until the sausage starts to sweat and spatter and the apple softens (2-3 min). it's best with sausage that's a bit spicy.

i don't really like apples but they are heavenly when prepared this way.

I buy fermented vegetables from the asian store or prepare them myself (all kinds of tsukemono, kimchi, mustard leaves etc.) and add some to whatever I'm cooking. It's a cheap way (money and calorie wise) to have some variety, and I don't have to worry about them going bad if I don't feel like eating them for a week or two.

Not on a crazy deficit either, still eating around 2k cals a day. You gotta either cut more out of your diet or exercise for an additional 30-60 minutes day. I want out of this fucking trench!!! Sidenote, last run almost took me out, the intervals are getting cruel now with five minutes of continuous running, still feel it in my lungs. Gonna keep at it though, one more run to finish week 4 strong. Good luck everyone!
