Have any of you built a nice core with just leg raises? I would like to make this my only abs workout, I hate doing crunches

Leg raises like that do nothing for me but i cannot raise my legs to be horizontal without fucking up my form. I like weighted decline now.

I mostly do them like this with back support, online and chatgpt says that it mostly works lower abs and not upper and obliques, I'd hate to have to do 3 different ab workouts lol

i used to do just leg raises (legs extended, not bent, progressed to toe to bar) and occasionally planks (i dont think they much impact really though) and had good abs from just that but ive gained weight since then so i cant post body if anyones gonna challenge me on my claims. this was in combination with things like pull ups/push up variations/dips etc. which i suppose also involve some core activation. the main thing tho is being low bf%

You should incorporate these into your core workout though. You should be doing several exercises for each muscle group like things as simple as preacher curls, incline curls, hammer curls.
You should do these, decline sit ups, probably an pulldowns to with cables.

make up yer mind - is it abs or "core"
for "core" (and rectus femoris abuse) go ahead and do your leg raises, roman chair, hanging leg raises, situps, crunches, machines - doesn't fucking matter really

abs are here bot:

>>u need to do dragon flag but with legs completely folded in hips and knees to make iliopsoas ineffective, beyond it's capacity to do more hip flexion
>>lift your knee up as high as it goes standing
>>then bring your knee further in with your arms - that's the position u want legs in when u're holding pelvis off the floor (in dragon flag setup) with abs, cause iliopsoas can't do shit there
>>and watch legs trying to flex as u do it - resist that urge - that's iliopsoas wanting to take over the resistance from abs
>dragon flag, but with legs folded in knees and hisps fully atop pelvis - it was that simple :D
>i use 2 light dumbbels in outstretched arms as counterbalance moved past head, upper back and head on the floor
