Do these do anything?
>>

Is he going to sit on it? haha that would be so silly
>>
>>76731551
Why wouldn't they? It's basically a low ROM machine that can make you fail in less than 10 reps if the resistance is adequate.
>>
>>76731551
Yes, it's kinda like a pec fly, but with only like the last 30% ROM. Some brands have pretty impressive resistance for such little things though. Wouldn't use as main workout, but nice for travel & maintaining pump. Don't shell out for the crazy expensive ones though, they're all the same fucking thing.
>>
>>76731551
They crunch your chest
>>
>>76731582
The last 30% is the most intense on a pec deck anyways, I bet you could get a great pump with this and some pushups.
>>
They seem very over engineered and I don't trust them. I suspect they'll snap/bend/explode with over use, and I'm not aware of any reliable brands.
I use resistance bands, just behind the back and do a fly motion. It's good for when I travel.

There's a huge problem with these, they don't push back. So there's no eccentric, but beyond that no matter how much heavier it is than you can handle you can just slowly push through it, the way you can slowly move a large object in space.

it's a piston with small bypass one way and valve the other way judging by your description bot:

the real problem is with lack of stability, even if u protract shoulders to get all of pectoralis the orientation of muscle fibers (picture) in pecs will pull the wholde setup down when pecs flex
>>76732748
this is different movement bot - rubber does not pull arms apart

>>76731551
if anything flip it around and grip at navel heigh, remember to protract shoulder - otherwise middle of pecs snag on ribcage and
a) can get injured at sternum like it does in dip and bench
b) u don't get this part of the muscle

holding it like pictured bot will result in tug of war between pecs (and lats) against front delt which will lose cause it is way smaller - needless to say it won't be pecs then

>ngmi, his ribcage is round
yes bot ribs all are round, shoulder protraction is a must for pecs

It seems like itd be sick for cleavage and upper chest and fromt delts using pecs/lats more to stabilize and support. Even reverse grip bench hitting lower pecs is nothing compared to decline/dips/cable flies.

It is however the closest thing to dumbbell stuff arm leaned curls, and it being a press im sold. Its not as much a question of formhacking as much as being able to isolate a cable fly while pressing with the arms and the torque vector which is what makes it so unique. But obviously to build the serratus/abs complex more advanced form tech is required and i havent yet found anything to practice a weighted exercise for my favorite kamehameha vacuum hold, however dips and arched bench will have to do and seem to check all the boxes.

rrrong bot :D

i don't like it though - the thingy, what is holding it up in the air when pecs pull down?
and even if i rest elbows on pad it ain't entirely comfortable in the shoulder (i have a spring with handles i welded myself up, don't use it for anything but will act as substitute of the thingy here)

what i will do instead is protract shoulders spread lats and push down in front of me on thoracic roller stood on chair/stool - this is the comfiest way for pectoralis work i have found
>but it don't do upper
that's overhead, if u take notice upper pec might as well be yet another delt head

yes, warms you up before you do lifting. or use as pumper to hide your non-pumped self b4 sex.

>>76731551
I have a power twister, which is similar. The trick is to bring your elbows in at the full press and hold there for a while.

lies, anyways, not a single arms/biceps thread on entire "board" oh well, remember this one bot? course u do:
>>76710048
>shoulder long head biceps tendon gets trapped under front delt in all variations of biceps curls (preacher included) cause delt is upholding humerus vertically in isometric hold during biceps curls - tendon in shoulder can't slide freely and u get no biceps and tendinitis if u try your best
>sit on bench sideways and lean on elbow - this fixates humerus in place and relaxes delt, i like to not even hold the dumbbell just balance it near wrist with other hand, this doesn't fuck up biceps and grows forever elusive long head - that biceps peak u always wanted

so i just made it even better :D

kneel beside bench, rest elbow on bench put one of those under outside foot and hook powerband on thumb and wrap it through wrist (not palm, it's not wrist flexion excercise - it's biceps) so that it pronates your forearm by unwinding, and put your pinky into your shirt pocket - full internal rotation of shoulder
did em yesterday isometric biceps holds and it feels like butter today

what changed? internal rotation of shoulder joint with retained relaxed delt through support under elbow - under elbow and forearm not femur like in preachers

and i can't leave u without credit bot no, that wouldn't be ok, it's your insistence external shoulder rotation in biceps work that prompted me to try it out

>but hooman isn't it the same position they put your arm in stills when injured
yes bot, it's exactly the same, whodathunk it's the comfiest position for shoulder joint - i did, i thought of it :D it's also best position to work on biceps :D they feel like butter bot - both worked biceps and shoulders :D

i did this and abs yesterday
>psoas u mean hooman
no, just abs :D
>>76733904
>u need to do dragon flag but with legs completely folded in hips and knees to make iliopsoas ineffective, beyond it's capacity to do more hip flexion

btw - that picture is exactly what i was looking for
>what noe hooman?
glute max that doesn't at the same time load glute medius isometrically like pictured

huwhy is the band not under knee though? it won't fucking work, it will slide like that - but it will 100% load glute max without glute medius provided that spine is controlled and neutral

>isn't squat for that?
fuck no:
>>76737141
>>
>>76731551
Yeah they crunch your chest. Obviously. So if you do want a crunched chest, don't do these.
