Spontaniously picked this one up for a buck fifty.
Do they even do anything or is it judst a fad, like the "jawzercise" or something
>>
too easy to develop imbalances as flexors already get overworked from lifting
>>

Get some Alphagripz and work your extensors
>>

>Alphagripz
I visibly cringed at that corny ass name
>>
>>76769633
They build hand strength and will make the flexors in your forearms bigger. Although if you're working hard at it you'll bust through that 60kg max setting pretty quickly
>>76769729
Cringe all you like but if you don't do something to work the extensors and really build up the flexors it'll fuck with your elbow joints

Get a mini band and do reverse wrist curls at the end of every session. It's the most effective method in my experience
>>
>>76769729
Lifters and powerlifters especially are about as much cringe as a weeb and they don't even see it, lmao. Unlike a weeb though, they do make products that are useful occasionally, like that grip tool.
>>76769633
Grip tools are useful in specific things. They're not the be-all, end-all exercise for grip strength or forearm size. There are different types of grip (pinch, hold/carry, crush) and these only work one (crush). There is some carry-over with the others but if you truly want better grip or bigger forearms, you should do more than one type of exercise for them.
And yes, working extensors is generally a really good idea too if you are focusing on grip strength.

Put it in your car. Whenever you drive, constantly do them until failure. Switch hands. Repeat. Adjust tension as necessary. Get the bands so you can do them in the other direction as well. I do this.
>>

Keep it low too, dont want ppl thinking youre pointing a gun at the,=m or some shit. Yours is blue, so youre good, I guess. I religiously do this as about 2 weeks ago. Always sat at my sofa, unused as Im typing shit on this site, lol so the car it is while driving. My hands hurt too now, hopefully theyll toughen up. Like when you first tart doing mechanics work, turning wrenches. I have decent forearms out of the box and I want to mog them. Whats odd is I havent gotten DOMS at all, I wonder why. I go til failure and cramp sometimes.

These feel so incredibly awkward on my hands and I have no idea why. They just end up hurting my palm before I can feel any type of burn or exhaustion.
Generally feel like something is wrong with my wrists or forearms because I struggle with chinups even though pull ups are easy for me. Is this related? I feel like a weirdo

Can't you just use a dumbbell?
>>
>>76770376
No i dont want to put on too much muscle

Ive had like five of these things from different brands/with minor different designs and they always randomly snap near the tension knob. They cost like 3 dollars so nbd but I bought an all metal one so I don't have to deal with it

The 60kg is a lie. They max at 45lbs.
>>
>>76770733
Penis (Dick's) Sporting Goods on the left, ching-chong bullshit on the right. They wouldn't refund me after I called them out so I shit all over them in a public review. lol. whatever
>>
>>76769633
Those silicone grip eggs are way better. You can do sets of 40 reps whenever. Made my grip much stronger quick
>>
>>76770733
The tension depends entirely on where you measure/grip from, because of the mechanical advantage of the lever. 45lb is probably right from the far end, where as 60kg is close to the inside.
>>
>>76770122
that sounds stupid. what benefit does it provide it you have to squeeze it dozens of times. It's like you guys still haven't figured out what building strength is yet
>>
>>76770376
yes however I find resistance curve of a band to work better and usually more convenient

they help you get carpal tunnel :D
>>76771081
clenching muscles at the end of their range for flexion is very bad for you
>>
>>76769633
>a fad

They've had forms of those for 60 years at least. I saw some old movie the other day where a guy at his desk in an office was squeezing them. They weren't so complex looking or blue. That thing looks like a hose sprayer. The old ones were just two opposing grip bars and a thick, simple spring at the top.
>>
>>76769633
These do nothing, I press 80kgs easy

Omfg are you serious?
Because I am just recovering from wrecking mine. Hell nah, I won't use it then!

not at all. You keep going and you get better, same with everything else in life
>>
>>76769633
They are good at building your crushing grip and while they can build your forearm muscles, if you just want to build forearm size, you are better of doing something like wrist curls.

Also the grippers that are like the one in your image are not particularly good. They break easily, someone else posted an image of a GD Iron Grip gripper, those are good adjustable grippers (but more expensive).
