I've come to the conclusion I will have to count calories for the rest of my life, but I should stop tracking macros, stop tracking calories over periods longer than a day and stop weighing myself outside of doctor visits. Spending energy on statistics distracts from the mission and feeds my insecurities, leading to relapse. Counting calories must become as absolute as the need to breathe, or my life will remain not worth living.

I have probably a stupid question when it comes to gaining muscle, for added context I've just been sticking to machines since I find them easier and I don't have to have a spotter. But I'm a bit confused on how to go about working out. Right now I do a general full body workout, I'll do 10x3 of upper body, 10x3 of mid body, and then 10x3 leg machine allnto genral failure. But like, right now that's maybe barely 40 minutes of working out and I feel like I'm missing something. Should I be doing more? What I eat in a day.

7:00-8:00: Wake up
~
9:00-10:00: Cup of Black Coffee
~
14:00-15:00: Cup of Greek yogurt with protein powder mixed in
~
17:00-19:00: First big meal of the day, normally chicken breast with microwaved veggies or beans
~
21:00-22:00: Second cup of yogurt, normally zero fat just to prevent night snacking.
~
23:00-24:00: Go to sleep

The above normally keeps me between 1,200-1,800 calories per day which has thus far resulted in daily losses of anywhere from .3 kg to .5 kg with only rare exceptions.

I might throw in an extra cup of coffee at 2 or 3 in the afternoon if the yogurt hasn't done enough to suppress hunger. Once or twice a week I also do date nights as well so the second yogurt gets replaced with another meal similar to the first. Now that I'm fully in weight loss mode the above has become my standard template, how do you guys get through the day without overeating?

Well, it is doable. Harder, but doable. There are some supplements you'll need to take, but vegan lifting is a thing. It will change you a bit, hormone and energy levels. But I've seen it work. Easy to supplement some of the protein with vegan powders. They taste quite awful, but you get used to it.

A big part of a lifes' change is sitting on the fence between the two absolute versions of you (and even those are theoretical, since you're not the same being for any two heartbeats). What exactly is there to enjoy? Fast food tastes like shit. All of the slop fatties fucking love tastes like shit. I haven't had cravings for pizza, hot dogs, fries, bread, etc. in months. When I started dieting I was allotting 1 cheat meal a week and it has been over a month since I've used them.
Fast food is expensive as fuck and tastes like shit. All of the slop I used to "love" is revolting to me now. I can't eat mcshit, wendys, burger king, pizza, any of that garbage, and an actual meal that tastes good from a restaurant is $25+.
I don't want to fucking cook, I'm on carnivore because it's cheap, easy to prepare my meals, and it makes me feel great. I'm not going to spend an hour cooking tacos or whatever the fuck. At this point if I could eat doggy biscuits with perfect macros that made my body work optimally I would eat those 6/7 days of the week, and maybe have a hamburger on the weekend. My problem with bulking is that eating larger meal sizes is difficult as fuck and I get full too easily.

Sugar really is the devil. I got back from a trip roughly a week ago and, after indulging in a small amount of treats on the trip, im still having crazy sugar cravings 2 weeks later. Ive got to ween myself off and get back to being strict

Nah. Last time I lost the weight it took me 4 years to regain most of it, and that was with 10 weeks bedridden because of a herniated disc at the end. I gained a LOT those weeks, which is what kicked me back into gear.

Well typically the way people scale up food during a bulk is adding carbs. Theres plenty of carbs that go great with meat. Potatos, pasta, and biscuits. You can also add cereal or candy.

I just do it, but in moderation. I log everything and I look at my cal in/out. Control is key still. I never found going cold turkey or completely denying yourself pleasures to be healthy. The issue is always excess and knowing when to do it and how much. I still do cheat days but instead of eating a whole fucking pizza like I would I just get a small one and eat half.

I hate meal prep even though I to am boring and could eat the same meal everyday. Most I do now is dice upna good 2 pounds of onions and peppers to add to whatever I'm cooking. Really helps in the moring.

This gives me hope. I came down from 340lbs, at 212 now, but a lot of medical issues came up on my way down, one is a tumor that is malignant. I still jog/walk 5 miles 6days a week (2.5 to and from the gym) and lift weights but I am really struggling with my head space.

I just feel defeated like, I finally am making it and it's just kicking harder.
