you can just do Nordic curls. we already know from studies nordic curls works gastrocnemius. same would apply to heel hook. in fact you can just do a Nordic curl without the curl part and just hold an isometric contraction since you like isometrics so much. but for the purpose of vascularity you do want to the calf raise motion such as when jumping

You only think that because you've never done them right. Calves are naturally a strong as fuck muscle, doing some calf raises with the 20lbs dumbbells or whatever won't do shit, you've gotta go heavy and STRUGGLE with the reps

My own fitness take is that protein is massively overrated, I don't think you need anywhere near 1g per pound of bodyweight. I've even reached 3pl8 bench on barely over 100g a day with my diet mainly being carbs. Then I'll see literal twinks at 135lbs with weak as fuck lifts who eat twice as much protein as me. I legitimately believe it's all hype and marketing we've been sold by supplement companies
