Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 1g per lb of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and burn fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body burning away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

When you people talk about cheating on their diet with holidays and shit, how much are we talking?

My diet's budget is 1500 calories, and my cheat days are typically around or below 2500 calories as I skip breakfast/lunch for the big dinner, thats my idea of a cheat day, are you guys having like a ~4000 calorie cheat day or something? Or multiple cheat days in 1 week? Keep in mind im a manlet so I guess my cheat days might be on the lower end

Can I get any cheap healthy protein ideas?
My current grocery list is
>12 eggs (2/day) -$3.50
>sardines in water (cheaper) -$11.55
>chicken thighs (2/day, I get packs of 10-12) -$12
>ground beef 1lb (2 meals) -$9
>potatoes (1 a day) -$5
>fruit -about $3 worth a day


Not counting stuff like olive oil or seasoning because even using multiple times a day I’m not going through the whole bottle in a month.
My monthly grocery bill is about $240. That’s just too much for me right now. And also, I’m still only getting maybe 120g protein per day off this. I don’t buy into the 1g/lb of body weight but I mean surely I should get more than 120g. Following 0.8g/lb I would need like 145g. I just don’t know how to switch my diet up so I’m getting more protein and spending less.


All I can think of is stop eating fruit (I would rather not it’s helped me a ton as far as overall feeling not like shit) and get double chicken intake but that only lowers my bill by $28/month. I more like need to get my bill down to $40/week or $160/month

ie I really like Little Caeser's stuffed crust pizzas. When I was fat I'd eat an entire medium stuffed crust in a day. It's ~2000kc for the whole thing. I still occasionally buy them, but since I'm calorie capping at 1,800; I only eat half the pizza and save the rest for the next day, leaving room for a 500 calorie breakfast and 300 calories of whatever (probably protein snacks like cheese and meat in this case because the pizza is a carb bomb)

the next day I'll be a pound or two heavier from the bloating and the low fiber meaning I haven't shat the pizza out, but that's transient weight and transient weight I can ascribe a source to is less scary

I had made serious progress, losing 14 kilograms of fat, down from 144kg's to 130kg in 3 months (first week i lost around 2kg's, i put this down to initial water weight loss).

There's so much food in the fridge, we went all out this christmas. That would put you at 220. No offence but what is it with fat people setting silly goal weights like that. Are you one of those people who believe BMI is bogus? It's not. If anything it underreports obesity meaning a lot of people with healthy BMIs are actually still too fat. And no offence again but Americans routinely exaggerate their height so you are probably an inch or two shorter. But let's assume you are really 5'10". 150 lbs or 68 kg would give you a BMI of 21.5 which is squarely in the healthy range. If you were to do a proper beginner strength training program which would take you about 6 months if you seriously committed to it and then lifted for about 1.5 years after that your BMI would be skewed up by 4 or 5 points then you could justify being in the 200 lbs range. Anyway, you also have around 10 or so pounds of lose skin to get removed.

In your original left side photo at 424 you do like ~270 lbs overweight. 220 is still going to be fat for you.

I'd appreciate some help on what I did wrong.
I'm 35 Y M, I was having some knee pain and difficulties going up the stairs even had sleep apnea so I decided to improve my health.
I was 75 kg @ 176 cm, and went through healthy diet for 4 months combined with cardio.
And now my weight is 62 kg.
Admittedly I feel better now, and my BF% is at 16% which I thought was good.
But when I put those number to FFMI calculator I got "below average" results.
While when I input my old BF% and weight I get "above average" results.
Am I misinterpreting it?

Try some intermittent fasting, see how you handle it. Just eat during the same 6 hour window, fast for the remaining 18 hours. Slowly make the eating window shorter and shorter until you are doing full 24 hour fasts. Then you can do 48+ hr ones. Drink more water than normal, fasting dehydrates you a bit. When you do eat, try to eat more protein so you don't lose extra muscle. On longer fasts you might want to supplement electrolytes, look for some fasting salts/ fasting electrolytes.

Here's my lunch that I eat every single weekday:

at least for me I've found that an 8 weeks on, 1 week "off" approach helps to mitigate against random stalls like that. By taking the week off I mean eating a bit closer to maintenance while still doing cardio. Also easing up on any macro restrictions (I do keto, so allowing moderate carb intake during the week). Usually the week after taking off I see my weight shoot down like crazy and get back on track
