There's a few things to note before getting into this.
First is that the guy in the pic is not the biggest buy, but his leanest is what makes his muscles pop. Also you will likely need to loose more weight than you think. You likely have more fat and less muscle than you think. This is one of those things that everyone doing a cut realizes.
If you look like the guy on the left I assume you need to lose around 50 lbs give or take. This may seem crazy but it's just the way it is.

For diet you mainly want to eat protein, then fiber. This will help keep you fuller off less food and help grow muscles. Lean proteins like chicken breast, nonfat greek yogurt, 93/7 ground beef, ground chicken or turkey and protein powder are helpful due to their low fat content and high protein content. Shoot for 1 g per lb of weight ideally. But 0.8 grams per lb is also acceptable.

Train every muscle atleast 2 times a week with 8-12 hard sets for a muscle. This helps build them up and also prevent muscle loss that comes with a cut.

Cardio isnt needed but is definitely good to do for health benefits. Most calories you burn come from just existing and the thermic effect of food so dont just rely on cardio for weight loss.

Try to get 8 hours of sleep and 10k steps a day.

Also, weigh yourself daily and check for general trends. Your weight will naturally fluctuate and might plateau. If you notice a plateau despite the calorie deficit just stick to it and wait. If it still doesnt go down then lower your caloric intake and make sure to track better. Oil are something to note as they are super calorie dense.

Download a calorie tracker app and track EVERYTHING (snacks and condiments add up)

Intermittent fasting / 1 meal a day is easiest as it's just 1 meal you need to plan that's under your calorie limit.

Drink water and get plenty of sleep.

You probably won't see any meaningful movement on the scale until 3 weeks in but afterwards you'll start to really shed weight. Bear in mind you may need to drop your calorie deficit further as you lose more weight.

the fuck, I remember when I first came to /fit/ years ago I saw this and found it super impressive, as a beginner that was legit my goal body. now all I see are the skinny arms and the fact that this guy probably has a sub 2pl8 bench. to a seasoned lifter that after pic is DYEL

in all seriousness though if you just want abs now it's easily doable in 10 months. aim for 10k steps a day. figure out what your maintenance calories are and eat 300-500 less than that every day. To start with id probably track this, weigh your food and everything, and log your calories in an app. after a while you won't need all that and you'll be able to pretty accurately eyeball calories.

As for lifting, if you're gonna cut something like SS won't work, you'll stall. id just do one day for chest and triceps, one for back and biceps, one for legs and shoulders. 3 days a week for lifting.
you should ideally do cardio too, add another day with an hour of that. cycling or running on treadmill, whatever you prefer

you can do it, the key is to be consistent for all 10 of those months. this kind of transformation usually fails because people give up in less than 1 month
