Can you build a thick forearm through lifting or is it solely genetics like calves?
Forearms are a very buildable muscle. Why would they be solely genetic?

Hit forearms directly, add them into your routine and be consistent.Forearm extensions and curls for meaty forearms.Farmer/waiter carries for grip.I do kettlebell pronations and supinations. Grab the weight by its handle, the bell laying on a flat surface. Then pronate and supinate your hand.Weighted dead hangs as well.
Carry heavy shit for shmekels ;)
why is the guy's hand clipping through the laptop? did you have to ai generate a picture of an indian man with a white gf because you couldn't find a real one? this is so upsettinganyway there's a french guy on youtube on roger c that basically just trains his hands and forearms, he'd be a good place to start. it's a tough one, because there is ultimately a genetic component to how good you can get at grip strength- you're going to be limited to a degree by the size of your hands, you can't really train bone length
