>Who is /fat/ for?
For Rotund Roulette Rollers who are working towards a longer life and a better physique through meaningful hard-work, strategy, and dedication. This is not QTDDTOT, stick to questions on fat loss. Post height and weight when asking for advice.
Join our Fatty Contest: https://www.fattycontest.com/

>What do I do first?
1. Read https://physiqonomics.com/fat-loss/
2. Calculate your Body Fat Percentage: https://fitness.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Body-Fat-Navy
3. Calculate your TDEE: https://www.sailrabbit.com/bmr/
Remember to use bodyfat% and use Katch-McArdle Formula with sedentary settings or your TDEE will be too high.
4. Plan your weight loss: https://www.losertown.org/eats/cal.php
5. Track your nutrition with MyFitnessPal (better for packaged food), Cronometer (better for generic food/macros), LoseIt (great for both), or Waistline (FOSS).

>Now what?
Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. No lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.
Read the /fit/ sticky: https://liamrosen.com/fitness.html

>DON'T
Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calories.
Eat processed foods.
Drink your calories (alcohol, soda, Starbucks).
Freak out over a weight loss stall. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself. Cheat days cheat only yourself.

Weight on the scale goes down but my gut and man tits won’t shrink
>>
Bros, is it easier to drop bf % the lower you go?

At some point, I had 38% bf @ 110 kgs, meaning that over 41 kgs of my body mass was fat. I dropped it to 30% @ 94 kg so far, meaning that I lost 16 kgs, out of which 13.6 kgs was fat.

Am I correct in suspecting that 30% is halfway between 18% and 38% – meaning that if I just do the same things again, I'm going to lose 12 percentage points of bf instead of 8? Or are these next 16 kgs going to be much harder to lose than the first 16 kgs?

>Eat out "his dick", he doesn't shower and I've never eaten box. Gag at first taste but get him off twice. We fucked twice before he mentioned getting off T and wanting kids.
>I stopped working out entirely. I cook 3+ meals from scratch for us both along with snacks or small meals.
>Get sucked off to multiple loads in a row daily if not twice.

He is a complete pathological fucking liar, btw.(he told me today that he was being trained to be a vet assistant despite never getting a degree and he actually performed a historectomy on a pregnant dog on his first day).

He doesn't want me to talking to any of the other roommates in fear that I'll end up fucking one of them, shadows me from room to room and can't even do the fucking dishes.

But, uh, we argue and shit but leaving or pushing back too far on any of his bullshit so he kicks me out is like complaining my steak is too juicy, that my lobster is too buttery. My dick is drained, my belly is full. This has to be better than the shelter despite everything else.

Less about clothing size, more about measurements. A 23" waist would be a dream... 26" chest (under the udders) would also be great. Hip ehhh I mean I'm very off and in about because he like most men love big round ass and hips so if I can maintain his 10" greater than waist I'm happy. I know I won't be perfect, but I can't let the saggy skin keep me this way. I'm pudgy and my arms double in girth if pressed against my sides. I feel my torso is barrel shaped. My face is round not angled. I wanna look like a hot 20yo that is doing damn near constant cardio and gives other women eating disorders just by existing. My dream would be to look like picrel, I know I can't but fuck I need to at least try my best. Build up my credit so I can get skin tightening shit done.

>>77123152
I'm on a carb-free diet, but I eat like 100g of carbs 2 times a week. I do wake up alert but that's normal for me.
>>
>>77123173
>200g carbs/week
The only kind of person who can get away with this is a 60 kg homebound streamer who does less than 8k steps/day and eats 1500 kcal.

Tell me anon how tall and how active are you?
>>
Started last year at 108kg. Now at 77kg, mostly by fasting 2 days a week.
This month I'm going all in and fasting 4 days a week, with 1 day of eating half of my daily calories. 10K steps each day as well.
At 179cm, my prediction is to hit 70kg at the end of the month.
My goal is 60kg. We're all gonna make it, bros.
>>
>>77123154
Keto and intermittent fasting, and tone your muscles with resistence training, and lots of incidental & recreational walking.
With hard work and consistency, any average man can become a beautiful woman.
>>
>>77123184
You're making an even bigger blunder than I did.
You're just dehydrating yourself just to hit a magic number.
77 kg at 179cm is already good.
Start eating carbs, pump iron and get plumpy. You already made it.
>>

Except I can't change my low hips and wide rib cage, I can't change my skin quality without scars or regular touch ups, I have my dream poster girl and I'm gonna do my best but I know I'll never be her. Best I ever achieved was 28" chest 24" waist and 34" hip. And it was hard to maintain. In fact, I didn't. And I still had fat on my ribs that looked like I had 4 tits. I still had hip dips. My face was still leaning towards round. I had this weird loose skin as the top of my thighs so I never got that full thigh gap. I can try harder this time to get there and stay there and hopefully go beyond.
>>
>>77123180
175cm 96kg, I do full body workouts 2x a week.
I'm gonna track my water intake for a few days and see if that improves it, otherwise I'll do a week on maintenance.
>>
I have been losing weight, but what upsets me is that is mostly because I got Community College, meaning I skip lunch and go directly to dinner.

I am exercising again at least once a week, but it makes me worried by the time I am out, I will regain all the weight...hell I was on my way to 78 and today I am 80 after a week of no college.

>>77122817
Losing 15 lbs at 220 lbs will have you lose less % of body fat than losing 15 lbs at 185 lbs because it's a percentage of your total weight.

This doesn't mean losing 15 lbs at 185 will be easier. In fact it could possibly be harder because your TDEE goes down as your weight goes lower.

NTA, but I see where he's coming from. 1lb is less of 300 than it is of 200, so if he can maintain the deficit steadily than the individual pounds count for more as he goes.

460lb goutfag reporting in. For the first time in as long as I can remember I managed a grocery trip without buying anything I shouldn't.
Got some tart cherry juice because that is supposed to help with the gout, I'm sipping on a glass of a bit of it mixed with some water now.
Pictured is what I'm going to eat for the rest of the week.

I know you can make up fancy dressings with oil and basalmic and shit but I'm just not ready for that yet wanted something simpler that I'm used to. So I had an idea, not in the picture but I bought a tub of 1% lowfat cottage cheese. I blended it up until it was smooth and I'm going to mix it with packets of ranch seasoning mix to make a sort of healthy dressing. One half cup is only 80 calories and I figure that should be enough for a big salad.

I've been mostly eating hamburger and sausage and pasta and rice before this so I'm hoping a week of salads and cherry juice will make me feel better and clear some of the brain fog.
Hope it works out I'll report back with results.

How the FUCK some of you keep a deficit of 1000kcal? I eat at this deficit for a few days and I feel like killing myself or someone, I can barely keep it together at 500.

Is this a curse? Am I just a retard with zero self control? There's no way this is normal.

Fellas, is it possible to eat too little? My daily caloric intake has become like 1000-1200 and people have told me that eating so little will cause me to gain weight. For reference, I'm like 85kg and 5'9" or so, and I go for runs regularly and don't drink alcohol. It's not that I set my calories to 1200 or whatever, it's just what I end up eating naturally when I plan out my meals (breakfast, morning snack, lunch, protein powder and dinner). Generally I'll have shredded chicken for breakfast (100kcal), fruit for a mid-morning snack (100kcal), meat and vegetables for lunch (400-500kcal), a protein powder/drink in the afternoon (150kcal) and dinner will normally be something like eggs, sometimes with a piece of bread (250kcal). It's hard for me to find the motivation to eat more.
>>
>>77124789
Exercise makes you recover faster but of course you want to believe the opposite so you can excuse yourself which is why you had to announce it to everyone here
>>
>>77124789
>>77124964
I think you're right, from what I understand if you're well enough to do something, then its better to do that something than it is to do nothing. Don't push yourself when you're sick, but something light, like half an hour of walking, or doing some warm-up sets is better than sitting on your ass.

Depends on how sick you are though. If you're like violently vomiting and shitting your brains out its probably better to not do anything besides rest and drink lots of fluids.
>>
>>77124958
>and people have told me that eating so little will cause me to gain weight
people are retarded and in this case, wrong
>>
>>77124958
>people have told me that eating so little will cause me to gain weight
That is physically impossible. Whoever told you that is probably fat and has absolutely no idea what they're talking about. It would literally break the laws of thermodynamics
A car doesnt magically gain more weight in the form of gas if its not fueled. The body doesnt magically gain more weight in fat if its not being fueled (with calories)
>>
>>77124974
>>77124975
See, I'm skeptical too, but multiple have said that whole "you will enter starvation mode and your body will convert everything it can into fat for later use while using the bare minimum to power your organs" spiel. So, eating like this I should be good and lose weight and not just turn into a blob?
>>
>>77124998
Oh god, the old "starvation mode" line? Fat retards say that to rationalize their overeating. It is a myth and traight up doesnt exist at all
You'll lose weight as long as you are eating less calories than you burn. No exceptions
If you are skeptical try it yourself. Plug your stats in here https://tdeecalculator.net/ to see how many calories you burn in a day. That's called your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). Then, eat less than that every day. I guarantee you will lose weight over time
Conversely, eat more than that, and I guarantee you'll gain weight over time. Its really that simple
>>
>>77125017
>Oh god, the old "starvation mode" line? Fat retards say that to rationalize their overeating. It is a myth and traight up doesnt exist at all
None of the people who were warning me were fat. In the past, a GP told me, and recently my GP implied it as well. Neither GP was fat.

>If you are skeptical try it yourself. Plug your stats in here https://tdeecalculator.net/ to see how many calories you burn in a day. That's called your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure). Then, eat less than that every day. I guarantee you will lose weight over time
I know, I know. I have lost weight before by eating less, but every time I do it, people come rushing to tell me that eating so little (under 1500 per day) will just cause my metabolism to slow down and my body to give up. My recommended daily caloric intake is like 2200-2500 or so.
>>
Is it normal to not feel sore after lifting and cardio anymore? I’m working out past the point where I’m hyperventilating and sweating buckets but my body never feels sore.
>>
>>77125021
Your gps are referring to extreme adaptive thermogenesis. As you lose weight, you burn less calories, your body tries to preserve the fat it has, and your metabolism naturally slows down. This is normal, and nothing to worry about
Now, if you don't have fat to burn, your body will begin to get calories from other things, like muscle and organ tissue. This is VERY EXTREME and you would have to be malnourished to get to that point. Youd look like a jew in auschwitz, and would have basically no fat on you. But you'd naturally crave calories, eat more, and the problem would fix itself, so long as you don't have an eating disorder. and truth be told, its hard to get to that point with such easy access to calories these days
So basically, if you're a reasonable weight, do what feels natural. If youre too fat, eat less, and if youre too underweight, eat more. Keep it simple
>>
>>77125045
>So basically, if you're a reasonable weight, do what feels natural. If youre too fat, eat less, and if youre too underweight, eat more. Keep it simple

If you're losing glycogen then it means you're pushing yourself too hard. Keep doing that and your sleep, libido, mood and energy level will pay the price. Carbs are not the enemy.

the body works in mysterious ways.
those faggots telling you it's "physically impossible" are retards who don't take into account that the basal metabolic rate isn't a fixed value but increases and decreases depending on how much people eat and other factors we don't know about.
that out of the way, protein sparing modified fasting have been used by a bunch of anons and it worked for them.
it seems the key point is reducing insulin to not lower the basal metabolic rate too much and you're eating meat and veggies so you should be good.
eat low calories as long as it works for you.

either start increasing the weight, reduce down time between sets or try drop sets.
the lynchpin of lifting "to 12 reps" is the 12th rep must be the final rep you are able to do. if you can do a 13th rep, you'll need to increase the weight.
as for cardio, try increasing the intensity. if you're running, pick up the pace. if you're on an incline, increase the angle. you get the point.

>>77126185
There's really no need for the average person to count calories. It makes a person obsess over every single thing they are eating every day, the mental strain of that is harder than the diet itself. And any time there's a discrepancy in expected weight loss from your calorie counting, it just demotivates the person even more. The same principle applies to weighing yourself every single day, totally unnecessary and counter productive.
>>
>>77126281
This genuinely sounds like you're too mentally weak to manage basic daily tasks. Do you avoid looking at your bank account too, because money might stress you out?

Wrong, its something the average person needs to know. They dont need to know it to the last digit, but at least a rough estimate if they eat below, at maintenance or above maintenance once they are average weight. And its way more important for fat people to know this shit, because they will need to know it once they reached their goal

I say that 8 weeks into my weight loss losing over 2 pounds on average every week. It's not hard to lose weight, it's not hard to track when you are eating too much and getting heavier with weekly weigh ins, it's not hard to compensate by just eating less. What the other poster said about massive fatasses with zero concept of portion sizes and calories is fair enough, but the average guy should know better. Knowing you ate 1800 calories instead of your 1600 daily goal or whatever is not going to help you, just like estimating you've only eaten 1300 calories so far so you have enough room for a dessert doesn't help either. Just eat less.

If you’re budgeting 150-200 calories you can easily get a small chocolate bar, a bit of ice cream, a daily cookie etc as long as they aren’t the big ones that are 300+ calories. It won’t be filling obviously so if you want volume it’s a different story

Anyone have any experience with retatrutide? What's a good starting dose? I've got 24mg vials, and you're supposed to throw them away after 28 days, but I don't want to jump right in to 8mg/week.

>SGLT2i are like a cheat code

yep you will literally pee sugar, calories out without having to burn them
too bad they are expensive and I don't think doctors prescribe them willy nilly

I've been eating one hotdog as a meal from a restaurant after working out for the past few days. I think I've made this diet enjoyable now. I eat a light breakfast of yogurt or a smoothie. Then some cashews. Then a hotdog which is like 500-700 calories if it has chili and cheese, for my final meal. I toppings like peppers and onions are zero calories so the only issue is the bread but Im not keto. Thoughts?

After two months of working out, I realize, I don't actually like pushing weights, but I love the feeling of my muscles feeling tight within my skin and the feeling of my muscles being sore while in bed. Can't get enough of that shit.

sticking to keto is very hard

Been eating healthy since start of January, very few carbs, cooking at home. went out for dinner at a restaurant tonight and immediately started shitting my guts out. Is this because my body has adapted and isn't used to restaurant food or do I have food poisoning?

I never want to hate eggs like I did while doing keto

Maybe 8 months isn’t that long but I’ve never felt the urge to eat sugar or bread since I started . If anything I have more trouble staying under my TDEE because I can eat two lbs of steaks or ground beef like it’s nothing.

>>77126658
Are you hitting your protein? Yogurt and cashews seem good, but hotdogs, I don't think they have that much protein in them.

>I feel like I have
Buy a scale and weigh yourself rather than going on feelings. Then you can know, for a fact, if youre losing weight or not and can adjust your approach accordingly.

Bonus points if you also count your calories at the same time so you'll know exactly where you went right and wrong.

>Most of the fat is in my legs and some in my belly which I have no idea how to get rid of
Leg fat followed by lower ab fat is the last to go for men, you just gotta lose more weight simple as.
>>
Ugh, I'm so fat.
The scale has ratcheted right up to 110, and doesn't seem to want to go down.

Are some fat guys just naturally handsome and it was hidden beneath their fat?
I've seen some guys I know start off pretty heavy (like 360+) and start looking handsome by the time they get to 300.
>>
i went from 385lbs to 250lbs. regained 20 after i got laid off my job. every time i push down my weight i end up gorging absurd amounts of food. i think a stable job was the only thing holding my diet together.

I’ve lost 75 pounds and am finally below 350 for the first time in a decade.
I’m still huge but it has been genuinely surprising to me that women in public have started complimenting me. I’ve been told I have nice hair, they like my jacket, a cute smile, and pretty eyes in the last week.
Never heard anything like that from someone not named Mom in years.

Looks delicious, but you're doing salads wrong if its 800 calories and "estimating", unless that's your entire meal.

I would get a laxative before it becomes another day that you haven't gotten relief. The longer you're constipated, the harder it is to finally push it out because one of the purposes of your intestines is to absorb water and form a coherent and solid mass, so it gets drier and harder..
>>
>>77125734
I would recommend Chicken or beef bone broth, ground beef just cooked in a frying pan by itself (or with a bit of olive oil), leafy green vegetables like sprouts, lettuce, etc will be fine as well. Also don't eat 2000 cals straight away but step up, probably 1000 first day spread out across a few meals over several hours (gives your body time to clearly reject the food if you eat something you shouldn't), 2000 second day, then third day 2000 cals + try introduce some other non keto foods, then if that's fine your body will probably be ok with whatever.

I did a 30 day water fast and had ground beef + beef bone broth as above (although only ~450cal) on first refeed day and my stomach was fine. Sprouts/leafy greens on third or so but I think would have been fine first day as well, but naturally I was cautious so only had keto food initially.
