is lifting 3 times a week and practicing MMA 3 times a week too much for a non drug enhancer body? i don't want to break my body but i'm willing to take it to the limit

It doesn't matter because yada yada put in work something something
>>
>>77167867
i wouldn't bitch about it, but i've seen ton of people breaking their backs and that shit doesn't have a rewind button

Depends what you do for work/daily life. If it’s something intensive then don’t do it since you will reach your limit in 3 months. I speak from experience. I could do 4x Muay Thai and twice a week gym working in shop but then I changed job for warehouse and there it’s already intense. Now I go gym three times a week only

I recently switched for lifting high volume and running 6x a week, to lift 3x a week and jogging on alternative days instead. I feel intensely good lately.
>>

i don't lift stuff often at my job but i do walk a lot
>>
>>77167860
No if you work up to it
Yes if you just jump in
Take time to train MMA for a while with less lifting, then add more lifting in as you feel in better shape
>3x a week
>MMA
Are you striking and grappling each session, or is that 1x striking, 1x wrestling, 1x groundwork session, or what?
MMA is more or less multiple sports rolled into one, you're going to be hyper mediocre at all three for a long time if you aren't training each facet more frequently
When I trained MMA I used to go from boxing session straight to wrestling, and I could have stayed on for grappling class afterwards but nah it was too gay
Anyway, start lightly and build over time

Mma is kinda its own thing in most gym, i.e. striking drills to set up single and double legs, ground control or getting off the ground so there’s no reason to train each art individually unless you’re gonna be a pro

I lift 10 times a week (bro split 6 days a week, midday and evening sessions), and do Judo 2 times a week as a 30-year-old.
Just eat enough, and get good sleep, and you'll rapidly recover.
>>
>combat sports
If you are serious about self defense learn to shoot a gun and get a ccw. You will get injured possibly very badly training mma and sparring, and it will impact your quality of life forever.
>but I like it
Do you really like circling a mat while a smelly 65iq caveman with a pube beard tries to kick your knees out for 20 minutes?
>>
>>77167867
Wow, great post retard
>>
>>77167860
it sure was too much for me. I'd say you should train lighter/lower volume in the gym. Squats were really hard to conbine with kicking and BEING kicked
>>
so when are we deciding on that /martial arts general/ thread description?
you ain't going to /xs/ to make it revive
you ain't waiting in /qtddtot/
you post 2 threads that generally get 20 sad responses (half bait convos at least) and get burried by influencer drama, blackpill and balding scalp ointments that also make your dick shine green because the girls like natural colors so it's really cool and hot. And it's mainly do them belonging to qtddtot btw
Being smart and allowing these threads to last and progress instead of more >>77167890, then making another general every time there's none in catalog is the better idea, I'd say
generals are about the only thing that worls here now anyways.
I suggest /mag/ martial arts general
for all the fight analysis, conditioning, drills, manuals, style vs style, progress pics holding belts, equipment talk, injury prevention, bar and group fights tips, brawl stories, Baki talk, etc
or
/wasafat/
war and survival and fighting and things
so we include all the fitness and health talk for the merc wannabes, armed rucking, fighting wild animals, team tactics, taliban monkey bar gifs, wilderness survival, ideal hunting shape, cold resistance, etc etc. For the real martial artists that know odds are nobody will pull a nodachi on the bus stop soon, but you may get shot at, or face an angry pitbull, or need to camp under a bridge and not get stabbed by fellow hobos, or survive nuclear winter any day. Also zogbot nothing threads about walking with a bag on and spamming pushups and running 5k being some godly challenge gymbroes can't even comprehend are crap, and easy to absorb.
Why not both? /mag/ and /intelligence, networking, conquering, enduring, living/ general. For the James Bonds and Rambos who might want a cabin in the woods.

>lifts 7 times a week
>good results
what the fuck is he doing to make it work? he doesn't seem to have any typical roid side effects.
>>

>martial arts are le bad because you could get hurt
no amount of lifting could stop you from being a gigantic pussy.
>>
>>77170689
bump, would also like to know
doing every other day but i wish i could do every day
>>
>>77170690
NTA but no amount of skill or technique will beat a gun. If you like MMA go for it idgaf. But if you’re an American and worried about self defense going to the range is going to be a much bigger payoff than banging your head in an MMA gym. An 80 year old crackshot shooter is more dangerous than an 80 year old cage fighter.
