price difference is probably ~$300, that is small enough to justify it, if you're gonna built a stupid overpriced SFF system, why would you gimp it.

the correct thing to do instead of buying a overpriced POS, is to buy a cheap POS, you'd litterally be better off buying an a770 (16gb) and lowering the power limit to whatever the minimum is, and use a riser if you have a stupid SFF case.

I am probably one of the biggest Applefags on /g/ and even I can admit that the Air is probably going to be a disaster. Let's talk about this.

>Air is a thin model with presumably a much smaller battery
>Pro model has a screen on the back and a protective cover which can be broken with a butter knife, no kidding
>protective cover can retract upwards revealing the screen if you swipe upwards on the back casing

There are so many points of failure for this phone it's unreal.
>the screen on the back which can easily shatter in your pocket or one bad fall, zero protection because it's next to the camera
>the battery on the air model which is going to suck as is the case with every other thin phone
>the protective cover which can snap off in your pocket
>the back cover which can become unresponsive or register slight gestures such as a rotation in your pocket and retract the cover (potentially snapping it)

What is Apple thinking? I have a 15 Pro Max which is due for a replacement soon and I might just go Android this time around.

I've gotten better explanations and results from a 30B model over the top dog models with their 200-500B+ parameters. It's fascinating how it works out sometimes.

Just going off my experience with Lumo (OpenHands 30B) vs say Gemini 2.5 Pro and ChatGPT or even Claude 3.5. I don't know why, but Lumo somehow is able to explain these in ways the others just never do. Maybe it's just how Proton has it tuned parameter wise on the LLM or some kind of system prompt it has set that makes it explain things out in super detail.

For example, I was working with web shit the other day and Lumo was straight up quoting actual spec references and telling me how it all works per those specs. Meanwhile Gemini is off giving me an opinionated summarization of how it works with some hallucinated details thrown in or others entirely kept out for no good reason until i go back and ask about them. Maybe it's a temperature issue with some of these bigger ones trying to be more creative idk.

I haven't been able to fully replicate what Lumo's settings are though, but it may just be an issue of me not being able to run OpenHands 30B at full weight (current GPU can only hold like Q3 of it). I still get decent results though, just not as precise or detailed.
