Is C still wortlh learning nowadays?I'm studying CS but my uni's program only teaches you Python, Java and C++ so i figured I'd try to start learning C on my own over the winter break.I already have a decent grasp on Python and Java and have always heard all the real enlightened big brain neProidians learn C to understand how a computer works beter since it's "close to the metal" unlike Python and Java but even starting out with Learn C the Hard Way, Zed Shaw says that C is a fundamentally flawed language and has many errors that later languages fixed into non-issues.Should I keep going

I made a fresh install and I must say that the unattended tool at https://schneegans.de/windows/unattend-generator/ is state of the art comfy. It deals with 99% of the annoyances of a fresh install and it's reproducible. It's either this or installing aids and use the chris titus tool to remove it.Both those tools are buried in the section:>Should I debloat / build my own ISO?If you need to ask, then no.If you know what you're doing:https://pastebin.com/S5VKBirtImo this general should push the users to use these tools because it's either this or getting fucked by 100 small annoyances you need to fix by hand following some pajeet tutorials first SEO link on google. The "if you know what you're doing" is no longer relevant because you can use these tools while chatting with an AI and get the quick run down of anything not clear.

The old fan is making a slight rattling noise on startup but it goes away after 5 min. It's spinning at 3000rpm to cool down Athlon x250 which gets hot very quickly during cpu spikes (it shuts itself down at 70C). I'd like to replace it but I can't find any 70mm fans. Is there any CPU fan model (with a heatsink or not) that would fit this old motherboard (released in 2009), if yes then which size should I choose?

The government should implement a taxcapital_Usage_tax(capital_group, employee_group)any time some capital (like a computer or program) is used by an employee to create something that something should be taxed. This would immediately evaporate the useless jobs and show us how horrible the economy actually is.

https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2025/12/drone-first-responder-programs-2025-review>Drone as first responder (DFR) adoption really took off in 2025. Though the concept has been around since 2018, this year saw more normalization of the technology, its integration into more real-time crime center structures, and the implementation of automated deployment of drones.>A DFR program features a fleet of camera-equipped drones, which can range from just a couple to dozens or more. These are deployed from a launch pad in response to 911 calls and other calls for service, sometimes operated by a drone pilot or, increasingly, autonomously directed to the call location. The appeal is the promise of increased “situational awareness” for officers headed to a call. This video offers a short explanation of DFR, and for a list of all of the cities we know use drones, including DFR programs, check out EFF’s Atlas of Surveillance.

There is so much money in that project and so much financial engineering that the project simply cannot be killed. A lot of the things developed for F-35 could have been tested and even back ported to F-16, F-15 and F-18 which would have reduced risks and costs a lot by parallel and incremental development, but they never did that.

How do you access ext3 or ext4 partitions from windows 10?i used Ext2fsd which is a small program that can be ran as a service and automounts your filesystem in read only mode to the drive letter of your choice.i hadn't used windows in a while and after a reinstall it doesn't seem to work anymore. It can see my partition, tries to mount it but when i click on the drive in windows explorer it says "you need to format the drive before you use it" then when i choose "no" it says "the volume does not contain a recognized filesystem.windows can't into Ext partitions anymore? how is this even acceptable?
