Why can't you find any good MP3 players today? I hate having to use my phone (which doesn't even have an audio jack) to listen to music.

I tried using my phone but within a few weeks the headphone jack was broken. Phones are too big as audio players, which you typically put into a pocket that barely fits it, putting way too much mechanical stress on the plug and jack. And screw bluetooth IEMs, not gonna put a chink shit lithium bomb in my ears and I don't want to have to charge them in the first place.
Meanwhile I've been using my small and light sansa clip+ for over a decade without issues (except the volume up button being broken, but I can set the volume via settings so no big deal)

The face unlock is genuinely really good, I don't miss the fingerprint reader at all if I'm being honest. I am not a battery expert though, so you should probably look up a guide on battery tests for it. A full charge usually gets me to around 40-50 percent by the time I'm home but that's with my watch connected too and I'm on data for about 10 hours when I leave my house because I don't trust public wifi or my work wifi, and I don't like LTE so I have 5G turned on, which I'm sure eats through a lot. Another gripe I forgot to mention is the lack of a "close all" button for apps so I'm sure me leaving a ton of apps open all the time doesn't help the battery either.

>>107840414
What's liquid? Is that part of the UI?
>>
>>107840468
>so I'm sure me leaving a ton of apps open all the time
From what I understand iOS automatically suspends background activity for closed apps, except edge cases like messaging apps or background music.
I may have even read that you can't even upload to google drive in the background? You need to have the app open for any progress to happen.
>What's liquid?
NTA but that's the "term" for the new glass-like design of iOS 26.
>>
How much can I trust a used iPhone that lists 100% battery health but has anywhere from 100 to 250+ cycles? I can't help but worry that it will start dropping 1% every month as soon as I buy it.
>>
>>107840607
If it's on Swappa it's probably fine if it's from a reputable dealer. Why not just buy a brand new one though? If money is an issue just do a payment plan or something.
>>
>>107840670
It's between a used 16PM and a brand new 17 for me. I kinda want the bigger battery, but then again it's already had 100+ cycles of wear.
A brand new 16PM is hard to find, and the 17PM looks retarded with that long visor instead of the "classic" (come on, 2019 was like 20 years ago) camera island.

>>107839532
>buy a series of adapters
Seems it outputs composite but it's on a DIN plug instead of standard RCA. I'd probably get a normal AV to HDMI converter, an RCA cable, and a DIN plug, and solder the wires to the right pins on the DIN. Though the lazy way is to just cut and strip the RCA cable and jam the wires into the correct holes on the DIN socket.

Exactly like Cable today:
- garbage surrounded with ads
>>
>>107840577
That's exactly how it feels ay. Cable used to be so fucking good (we call it Foxtel here) because it used to have far less ads and content was way more focused on what it was initially set to do.
But textbook example for what went wrong there is MTV going from showing non-stop music vids to... fucking Jersey Shore by 2008ish. Apparently 2000ish was when it became that bad. I only have a small amount of memories of that earlier golden period of cable. It really did feel like youtube for a while there.

But don't get me wrong, YT isn't even as close to as bad as how cable became.

This "operating" system is the biggest piece of shit I've ever come across in my fucking life. It can't'even be classified as an operating system. Windows 11 is a fucking website made with React by the antichrist himself, whose sole purpose is to consume 2 TB of RAM just by opening Notepad, how could you screw up so badly as to ruin Notepad, to ruin Paint, how
the hell did Micropenis manage to add a battle pass to Solitaire, you motherfucking pieces of shit? How can a rational, moral human being with brain cells defend thís mutant technological abortion, 30% programmed with Al? my ass, not even an Al agent would be capable of screwing up so badly as to create this android ripoff. This is the result of a bunch of bad decisions made by peopie whose brains, unfortunately, were unable to develop fully, whose balls got stuck in their abdomen during birth and who don't shit themselves by some miracle of God. 1 bet my vital organs that these morons aren't aware of how shitty this operating system is because everyone at Microsoft uses MacOS. I thought operating systems were programmed by programmers not the fucking marketing department. To those` subnormals, I propose a brilliant marketing campaign: rename this mistake to Windows 9/11, this fucking shitty operating system forces me to use L*nux (Mint, because ï'm not a pedo), at least with that I don't have to drop everything I'm doing and restart the computer for every fucking update, how the hell do you manage to release an update every fucking day? What's being updated, your chromosomes?. One day I'm going to really lose it, and when that day comes, I'Il create a Microsoft account and I swear to God that every time I take a shit, I'1 take a picture of it and upload it to my OneDrive just to fill my OneDrive with high-quality photos of my feces. This OS made me an atheist, because I refuse to believe that hell exists, I refuse to believe that there is anything worse than having to use Windows 11.

how?

1.) discriminate against Whites for decades at all levels
2.) prevent Whites from getting into STEM programs in high school and college while forcing them to write papers on feminism and read feminist garbage and gender ideology all throughout middle school instead of letting them tinker in shop class
3.) prevent Whites from getting hired at tech companies
4.) fire Whites or force them to get max vaxed with mRNA killshots
5.) force Whites to train jeet replacements as a humiliation ritual
6.) hire infinite jeets
7.) further feminize women and make White men the enemy so White men don't have a woman and family to come home to at the end of the day which motivates the man to work extra hard

tl;dr White guys got frozen out of large STEM companies and were replaced by jeets. the smart White dudes got big into crypto, made massive bags, and fucked off into the sunset passport broing in the orient.

How come C# isn't more popular when it's basically Java but better? Is it because people distrust a language maintained by Microsoft, or does the JVM have non-obvious but crucial advantages over the CLR?

Java's entire schtick is that it's cross platform. C# only exists on windows desktop (desktop is a tiny fraction of the software market) and windows server (windows has a small minority share of the server OS market)
>>
>>107840376
>(windows has a small minority share of the server OS market)
those kinds of stat charts only point to public web servers, and maybe databases

Windows Server is used for a lot of enterprise software which isn't exposed to the internet or advertised online. C#, being a Java clone, also shares its primary use case of web-enabled enterprise software
pretty much all companies use Active Directory and other Microsoft/Office/SharePoint stuff, all of which run on Windows Server

The default interface is fine for this, it organizes by artist and album and genre and you can search or play by a myriad of criteria, but if you need more you can always use a music organizer like banshee I guess.

absolutely S-tier MX Blacks on Alu.

I'm trying to recover data from a Windows 98 PC, and I would like to back up the hard drive (which appears to be failing). I can still read data intermittently, and it sounds like it keeps doing repetitive seeking before it gives me data read errors and general drive read failures. The computer doesn't even detect the drive half the time, and it won't boot from that drive at all.

I would like to try and boot from a Linux recovery distro and see what I can do, namely clone the failing drive before doing anything else, but the optical drive doesn't appear to be plug-and-play (I can't boot off of it because the optical drive only works after drivers are already loaded), and I couldn't get a USB stick to work, so it seems like the only option left is to boot from a 1.44MB floppy disk and get the computer to clone the hard drive itself. I've added another drive, and that one works flawlessly, so it seems only the master drive is bad.

It's actually harder to get a straight answer on which linux distros you can boot from a floppy disk than I would've thought. It doesn't even matter if it has to be an old version, people are saying the wrong version number is capable of doing so (like with RIPLinuX, so I don't know which ridiculous version to use), and I'd prefer one centered on data recovery anyway.

It's a "Proteva Pro Series" PC, I guess. (Not pictured.) It doesn't sound very distinct, but apparently they thought it was distinct enough to brand it that way.
