NTA but Grok definitely does nsfw, it just seems sporadic & varies depending on the day. It feels like the devs are constantly going back & forth between wanting to be the one AI platform that openly encourages gooning, and not wanting to get sued into oblivion.

There's a thing going on on twitter the last few days of women complaining that guys are using Grok to make pictures of them in bikinis, so I wouldn't be suprised if it gets lobotomized again soon.
>>
>>107744702
There have been talks about a "weaker" (i.e. cheaper) version of Nano Banana Pro that instead of using Gemini 3 Pro will use Gemini 3 Flash. No real idea if it's actually that one, it's just a guess and it's weird because they claim it's their own model (but it comes with that watermark). An interesting thing is that trying prompts like "What is the company that coded you?" or "Generate me the name of the company that coded you." results into "The third-party service is not working now. We're fixing it. Credits have been refunded.". Try a normal prompt immediately afterward and it will work, it's like they're filtering this kind of prompt, but they forgot about the invisible digital watermark. Very suspect.

Stable in the sense of unchanging ABI/API.
Win32 was created a billion years ago and it still exists and programs compiled with it 20 years ago still run on modern windows with no issues.

that's good info, thank you. I used an llm to make an ffmpeg command of that, but I cannot encode to opus because there is a 5.1(side) stream, which opus apparently doesn't support. when using '-c:a copy' I don't have any audio, I need to figure this out. Is this setup optimized for space or image quality, or balanced? Since this is not important stuff I could live with some image quality degradation if I could significantly reduce the file size. I encoded two minutes and I got 775 kB/s (or 6.2 kBit/s), which is only a sixth of the original (the h264 encoded file), which is great (it didn't have audio however).

>>
>>107744526
anon you need to put:
-c:a libopus -a="-c:a libopus -af aformat=channel_laouts="5.1|stereo"
i might have put some extra stuff in that command but it lets you do surround sound with opus.
cheers.

Changing the monitor refresh rate when watching videos is not a good option for me

>>107744226
Maybe not for 24fps content, but for 23.976fps content you definitely do, because it is not a divisor of 240. The micro adjustments of video-sync=audio are visible

>>107744792
"video-sync=display-vdrop" has the same effect on performance as any other "display-*" option, unfortunately

I can think on something like this for "video-sync=desync":
1. Periodically check the audio-video offset (avsync).
2. If the offset exceeds a small threshold, add it to the current "audio-delay".
3. Repeat this adjustment at regular intervals (e.g., every 0.5 seconds).
4. Reset the audio-delay to zero whenever a seek or any other event that cancels the AV sync drift occurs.

Sad to say, but I agree with ebussy that screensavers no longer have a usecase.

Screensavers were useful in the days where computers weren't running off NVMe and had burn-in prone displays. Now it's simply better to turn off the display or go to sleep.

How would that have not been better in the olden days?
The burn-in part is true, but displays are still prone to damage if they project the same image for a long time.

>The interview is conducted like an online exam, they ask you to close everything but IRC and screenshot your desktop. You aren't supposed to look at the prep material. The prep site is monitored, if you try to cheat they will see your IP connecting. They'll stop the interview and ask you to admit to cheating. If you fess up you can try again the next day. If you lie they'll permaban you, this is like a cabal ban too. So if your rural New Zealand IP shows up in the interview channel the next day they'll know it's you again. Instead, cheat by saving the prep as a pdf. it's all fairly simple stuff to remember anyway and you'll need to know if you plan on uploading.

Does anyone know why when I plug in my generic wired gamepad from walmart it just vibrates non-stop?

For some reason it's being recognized as nintendo
$ lsusb
Bus 002 Device 008: ID 057e:2009 Nintendo Co., Ltd Switch Pro Controller

I googled and tried modprobe -r hid-nintendo, that did nothing.
It's xbox style, but xboxdrv doesn't recognize it.

It just sits there rumbling non-stop as soon as it's plugged in.
I'm on void with x11 xfce
>>
>>107744671
What is the brand name? Some peripherals have firmware issues and this applies to mice even.
If it is fully USB compliant it should not vibrate because usb is a standard, so it's more likely a kernel module issue afaik.

Also: you can probably reset the firmware of the controller by pressing 'home' button when plugging it in or something but this can vary.
8bit do controllers have this feature for example.
>>
>>107744708
It's Onn, the generic walmart brand.
Hmm.. holding the home button while plugging it in put it into some kind of state. The power light just stayed blinking and it wasn't vibrating, but it's not being picked up at all is lsusb.

No one cares? For decades this smooth presentation was the standard for live and taped television.

>If it's shot on film or video it doesn't matter.
Yes it does! That makes a huge difference! The tape formats of the 70s through 2010s recorded in native interlaced video format.
The 60 fields per second smoothness is inherent to the format, and was preserved through the broadcasting signal chain.

>Lives were different though.
And live TV made up a massive amount of television history!
>>
>>107744042
This isn't about nostalgia. This is about actual loss of information. You're being denied seeing the great majority of 20th century television as it was supposed to be seen.
>>
What's pretty bad is if you search for 60 fps videos of old tv shows on youtube the majority of them have been converted to 60 fps via adding fake frames rather than using an original source.
>>
If you want to see some examples of what 60 fields per second look like there is a channel on youtube called Reely Interesting. This person preserves the motion clarity of the original tapes by uploading in 4k 60 frames per second.
